Three explosions went off near the bus of the German soccer team Borussia Dortmund as it was traveling to a Champions League match on Tuesday. Thankfully only one injury has been reported.

Borussia Dortmund’s defender Marc Bartra was the only one injured by the explosions. Dortmund said Bartra was “in safety” and that “there is no danger in and around the stadium.”

Bartra’s injuries are described as “nothing life-threatening.”

The chief executive of the team said Bartra was injured on the arm and hand when three explosions went off near the team bus, Fox News reported.

The soccer game has been postponed until tomorrow.

Police in Dortmund said investigators “are working on the assumption” that the explosions that the team’s bus were caused by “serious explosive devices.”

Dortmund police said the devices that went off near the bus as German team Borussia Dortmund was leaving its hotel for a match Tuesday night “may have been hidden in a hedge near a parking area.”

Windows were broken during the explosion, and the team asked fans to remain calm.

Police said the explosions took place in the run-up to the match at around 7 p.m. local time.

Dortmund is located in western Germany, in the densely populated Ruhr industrial region.

Inside the packed stadium, supporters of Monaco, which plays in the French league, chanted “Dortmund, Dortmund” in sympathy for the German side.

There is an ongoing investigation and terrorism has not been ruled out…

Seems like terrorism to me.

These are dangerous times folks.

God bless.
