Trump Tower has reportedly been evacuated due to a suspicious package, the New York Police Department has said. President-elect Donald Trump is not on the premises.

Police were seen in the lobby of Trump Tower waving at people and shouting at them to get out of the building.

The New York City police and fire departments are on the scene.

Police are pushing tourists and reporters alike down the block, away from Trump Tower.

Parts of the Midtown building were evacuated as part of normal protocol, according to police.
