Meth heads have come up with a new way of packaging their poison and unfortunately, it can be a huge problem when it comes to the safety of our children. You see, these scumbags are selling colorful lollipops filled with methamphetamine. 

The discovery was made in Spring, Texas when sheriff’s deputies were called to a home in Spring after neighbors reported a possible burglary in progress.

When they arrived at the scene they found a man and a woman who had packed their vehicle so full of the drugs that they couldn’t even close the back hatch of their vehicle.

The Dallas News reports that Lt. Ruben Diaz said the deputies believed the drugs had been taken from the house where the reported burglary was taking place. Inside, officials found 600 pounds of meth pops in shapes such as butterflies, flowers, bats and Star Wars characters.

Lt. Diaz said the woman who was arrested had stayed at the home before and officials believed she was going back to rob the dealer and burglarize the house.

He said neither he nor the other investigators had seen meth made like that before.

“It appeared, to us, designed to target children,” said Lt. Diaz. “If they were not sold directly to a child – if the lollipops were dropped anywhere in the neighborhood, a child picking them up would think it’s regular candy.”

The suspects were identified as Evonne Christine Mick, 36, and David Andrew Salinas, 21.

Each lollipop was estimated to sell on the street for $20 to $40, Diaz said.

Investigators are looking for others that may be involved in the operation. They’re concerned the products are already on the streets of Houston.

So keep you eyes out for these methpops- they could kill your children.
