A Black student group at a Toronto college – whose mission is “opposing all forms of racism” banned white students from one of their meetings because of their own racism.
The “Racialized Students’ Collective” at Ryerson University kicked out two white reporters from the student paper specifically because they were white.
Vajdaan Tanveer, one of the leaders of the “racialized” group told The Ryersonian that members of the collective requested a safe space on campus where they can have an open conversation.

When asked about Hewitt and Knope’s incident, Tanveer confirmed they couldn’t attend the meeting because they were white.
