Ben Carson Makes URGENT Announcement

Dr. Ben Carson is a brilliant and gifted physician, the current Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and also apparently a “white” supremacist to some leftist lunatics that apparently didn’t learn their colors in elementary school.

Dr. Carson recently spoke in praise former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore in a highly contentious state runoff election.

Dr. Carson stated of Moore –

“Judge Moore is a fine man of proven character and integrity, who I have come to respect over the years. I was delighted to hear he is running for the U.S. Senate. He is truly someone who reflects the Judeo-Christian values that were so important to the establishment of our country.”

It is these values that we must return to in order to make America great again. I wish him well and hope everyone will make sure they vote on Tuesday.”

Moore has run afoul of the left on multiple occasions and clearly is not afraid to take the bull by the horns when standing for what he believes to be right.  Moore was elected as Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court in 2001 but removed from his position in November 2003 by the Alabama Court of the Judiciary for refusing to remove a monument of the Ten Commandments from the Alabama Judicial Building, despite orders to do so by a federal court.

Moore was again elected Chief Justice in 2013 but was suspended in May 2016.  This time for directing probate judges to continue to enforce the state of Alabama’s ban on same-sex marriage despite the fact that it had been overturned by the Supreme Court.  Moore believed as did a great many legal minds this decision was a major breach of the 10th amendment and a significant overreach of the defined powers of the Supreme Court, therefore rendering the verdict unConstitutional to Moore’s way of thinking.

Many Trump supporters and allies are very much in support of Moore in spite of President Trump throwing his own endorsement in for current incumbent Sen. Luther Strange.  Strange was never elected to his position but appointed when Jeff Sessions stepped down in order to become the U.S. Attorney General.

Currently, Moore is making a strong showing polling ahead of Strange.  He is also a favorite of Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell. The race is a highly contentious one with the runoff set to take place on Tuesday.

What makes this highly unusual is for Cabinet officials to wade into the political fray, as the Hatch Act significantly limits the political activities of federal employees. Per the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, federal employees are not allowed to engage in political activity while on duty, in the workplace or in any official capacity.

With that in mind and in accordance with the Hatch Act, Dr. Carson’s statement clearly identified him as Doctor Carson only and not as a Cabinet secretary, nor did the statement in any way claim to be an endorsement of Moore as a candidate so as to avoid the same fate of that of former Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.

In 2012, Sebelius was found in violation of the Hatch Act after the Office of Special Counsel determined that she made “extemporaneous partisan remarks” during a speech while on an official trip.
