During a speech made on August 16 in Wisconsin, Donald Trump let Americans know just how out of touch Hillary Clinton is with the dangers that Americans face in these trying and turbulent times.  As a member of the political elite, she enjoys being surrounded by a 24/7 protection detail which the average American does not have access too. Our protection detail is ourselves.

As a result, she is clearly indifferent and ambivalent about the struggles faced by black Americans living in a dangerous, inner city environment, especially when those places are made even more dangerous with the current racial climates.

Take Milwaukee, Wisconsin for example, an armed thug that happens to be black, points a gun at police and refuses to drop his weapon when asked. A police officer who also happens to be black chose to do his job to the best of his ability and took him down. As has now become predictable behavior, the violence, rioting, and looting have begun, along with the cries of racism – that this is somehow the fault of white people everywhere. I suppose NOTHING says justice like a new pair of shoes, some stolen stereo equipment, and some burned down buildings. Except do these folks ever stop to think about the ACTUAL cost? The cost to those that are INNOCENT of any crime other than owning a business in a particular area or living in an area they can afford?

When these crazed individuals with their mob mentalities come along and torch communities and turn them into war zones, property values plummet and businesses close. These people have a right to defend their livelihoods and their homes, just as much as any other American.  Yet, somehow Hillary and her ilk believe otherwise. That self-protection is somehow acceptable for the elite, but not for us peasants.

Statistically, gun control has proven over and over and over again to cause rises in violent crime.  It does the opposite of what they are aiming for.  Take Australia for example, roughly sixteen years have gone by since they outlawed guns in their country. They are now #4 in the world for violent crime. Or let’s take Chicago – with the strictest gun laws in the country, Afghanistan is actually safer and it’s a war zone. Trump’s message – Gun control endangers these vulnerable citizens by making it more difficult to defend themselves. We all know that criminals don’t follow laws. Syville Smith is a prime example as a felon with a firearm.  He shouldn’t have been carrying anything according to current laws – yet he was.

Trump said, “It’s easy for Hillary Clinton to turn a blind eye to crime when she has her own private security force that, by the way, carries guns.” He then referenced the Second Amendment — intimating that it applies to every citizen, not just the political class — and he said, “I believe all Americans — not just the powerful — are entitled to security.”

Trump has continually stressed the importance of an armed citizenry throughout his campaign and has spoken on it many times. He stated in response to the November 13 Paris terror attack that an armed citizenry could have prevented the “horror show” that took 130 lives. He further stated in an interview with Meet the Press on January 10, 2016, that armed citizens remind the bad guys that “bullets go both ways.” That’s a reminder that is much needed in the current climate.
