BOMBSHELL: John McCain’s Outrageous Move To Keep #Chattanooga Servicemen Unarmed Exposed

Donald Trump has been the center of controversy over his remarks about John McCain and his being a war hero. That whole thing got completely distorted in my opinion. The point Trump was making is that McCain has utterly failed our Veterans and now reports have come out that confirm that McCain has failed our Military… miserably.

Case in point. We all can agree that NOT permitting our service members here on American soil to protect themselves by carrying firearms in places like the recruitment center in Chattanooga or Fort Hood is simply wrong. Horrible policy. It turns out that Sen. John McCain is partially responsible for this policy.

In June, Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev. submitted an amendment in a Department of Defense Authorization bill that would have allowed our soldiers to be armed — a move which could have mitigated the loss of life in the Chattanooga shooting that left four Marines dead and one Navy sailor fatally wounded.

The chairman of the Senate Armed Services committee, McCain, wouldn’t accept the amendment as part of the bill. His reason for denying inclusion of the amendment were not immediately known.

It seems as though recent events may have changed his mind, however, as a statement dated on Heller’s website dated July 21 said:

“I appreciate Chairmen McCain and Thornberry’s decisive statements in support of protecting our troops and their commitment to ensuring the final NDAA makes this important clarification related to a post commander’s authority.”

Better late than never. It’s a tragedy that those that serving our country have been put in this position in the first place. And these idiots get paid a boatload of money to come up with this crap. Unbelievable.

Right Wing News reports:

Dean Heller: “So I submitted an amendment in the Department of Defense Authorization bill to allow this to happen. Now this was of course six weeks ago before Chattanooga. And the chairman of the committee wouldn’t support it–by the way, chairman was John McCain–did not want the amendment as part of the bill and wouldn’t accept it.

Here is what Heller said on his website about the bill:

Today, U.S. Senator Dean Heller sent a letter to the Chairmen and Ranking Members of the Senate and House Armed Services Committees, requesting that National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) conferees include his amendment to give military base commanders the authority to allow service members to carry personal firearms on base for their personal protection and force protection. In June, Senator Heller offered this amendment during the Senate’s consideration of the Fiscal Year 2016 NDAA. In addition, Senator Heller introduced stand-alone legislation to address this issue critical to the safety of our nation’s service members.

We applaud Sen. Dean Heller’s efforts and thank him for his hard work.

Because of this insane policy our men and women have been vulnerable to attacks and with Obama’s love for Muslims, even the terrorists, this ludicrous policy needs to be changed. IMMEDIATELY.

  1. McCain has lost his way as he is now bought and paid for by the lobbyists. He is NO Patriot and he certainly does not command any respect or recognition.

    • good one. Are you a stand up comedian?

      • No, just one of the Veterans that have watched his stellar performance in addressing many issues. How about you? Are you a comedian?

        • BanG, I am not but I find that many Veterans who don’t share your feelings. However, I want to thank you for putting your life on the line to protect our freedom. I still believe he is a Patriot. I have not walked in his shoes and felt what he has felt all these years as a survivor of war. I feel he still is and I thank him for his service as well. I think anyone who has been to war is a hero in my eyes. I haven’t seen him back down on anything he believes that will better our country.

John McCain does what makes him the most money, not what is best for the country or the veterans he is supposed to be representing. He might have been a hero but the guys who served with him say not. ..songbird was the name given to him by the enemy soldiers
