Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson is a black man so you would assume the black people would respect him as a person as well as his achievements. But many don’t. In fact he has been called an “Uncle Tom” and a “traitor to his race.”

Oliver Darcy from TheBlaze caught up with Carson in Harlem and asked if he had a message for the liberal hate mongers that are calling him an ‘Uncle Tom’ and his comments were brilliant.

“I’d say they need to actually listen not only to what I’m saying, but look at my life and look at what’s been done,” the retired neurosurgeon told TheBlaze. “It is the things that have been done that elevate people. Not things that impress people and make them dependent.”

Carson has enjoyed a sudden surge in the polls among GOP voters following his outstanding performance during the debate, but he has been drawing increasing ire from the left as his popularity soars. In fact, left-wing rag blog the Daily Kos wrote a story directly to Carson, titling it “Dear Ben Carson, When a Person Has to Deny Being an Uncle Tom, It Usually Means They Are,” which is full of the typical liberal racism, dismissing Carson as a traitor to blacks because he’s successful and sees that Democrats have quite literally enslaved minorities to get their votes.

Carson also spoke on what he thinks Republicans need to do to get the black vote.

“Well, I think it is because the Democratic Party has ascribed to the Lyndon Johnson philosophy. I don’t know if you know, but Lyndon Johnson said, ‘If you give those N-words such and such, they’ll vote for us for the next 200 years.’ What the Republican Party needs to do is come out and discuss more the kinds of relationships and the programs that will actually bring people out of poverty. That will also give them the ability to use their God-given talents to rise rather than to simply be satisfied in a dependent position in society,” Carson said.

I have to give credit to Mr. Carson for speaking the truth. And I admire his accomplishments. It’s a shame that people of color have to attack him because he is a Republican rather than embrace him as a beacon of hope. But, I guess they have Kanye West to look up to as a role model. God help us lol!
