As much as we’ve criticized Speaker Boehner in the past, he’s gotten one thing right, and that’s the choice of Rep. Trey Gowdy to lead the special committee investigation on Benghazi.

Gowdy plans to subpoena Hillary (and perhaps Obama himself), reveal evidence that shows Obama is hiding documents from Congress, and relentlessly pursue justice “though the heavens fall.”

His track record proves that he’s impeccable when it comes to criminal convictions, so there’s no reason to think that he won’t be able to expose Hillary and Obama’s

“Boehner made the announcement, saying quote, ”…Gowdy is as dogged, focused, and serious-minded as they come.  His background as a federal prosecutor and his zeal for the truth make him the ideal person to lead this panel,” Boehner said in a statement on Monday afternoon.”

In a statement released on U.S. Congressman Gowdy’s official website Monday, Gowdy said in part, “While people are free to draw different conclusions from the facts, there should be no debate over whether the American public is entitled to have all of the facts.”   Gowdy is known for his bullish antics and regularly makes headlines for his unfettered pursuit of the truth. Gowdy has been known to speak openly against the Obama administration’s criminal tactics.  Indeed, the investigation regarding Benghazi may very well open up impeachable offenses by the United States government.  The fact that Boehner would choose someone with the caliber of Trey Gowdy is highly suspicious of the truth itself.  Gowdy, a former prosecutor who never lost a case in his career, has been known to rabidly seek the truth wherever it leads.
