BOYCOTT! American Express Refuses to End Support for Trump ASSASSINATION PLAY…

New York City’s Public Theater Shakespeare in the Park presents Julius Caesar this summer but this time with a twist. The play opened in previews last month in Central Park’s Delacorte Theater sparking significant controversy over its main character’s striking resemblance to President Donald Trump. The main character sports blonde, slicked-back hair and a business suit and tie, and his wife Calpurnia speaks with a Slavic accent, similar to that of First Lady Melania Trump.

Controversy ensued when video depicted the Caesar/Trump look-alike being graphically stabbed to death at the climax of the play.  The fallout of the controversy has had many companies such as Delta Airlines and Bank of America choosing to withdraw their sponsorship from the play depicting the assassination of the President.

Unfortunately credit card company American Express continues to sponsor this violent depiction of the assassination of the President.  This type of tacit approval creates suggestive influence on the weak minded. Imagine the converse with an Obama lead. The double standard is astounding.  There would be cries of racism and Shakespeare in the Park would be shut down.  American Express would be derided and a boycott staged by the left.  Yet the right is just expected to passively accept that this is just the way things are.

People like Chelsea Clinton condemned the actions of D-lister Kathy Griffin when she thought was appropriate to stage a stunt with a fake severed bloody head that resembled that of President Trump.  Yet Chelsea tweets that she as though she is perfectly fine with a live action depiction the “Trump Assassination” play.

Chelsea quoted a tweet by Parker Molloy which justified Trump’s “assassination play” as part of a “lesson” NOT to kill the President as they do in the production.  How would she feel about the same play if the assassinated President was her Dad instead? I am going to go out on a limb and guess that she would feel differently.
