Clifford and Clinton Pappadakis, both 47 and residents of San Jose, face felony charges of possessing child pornography after their arrests by the San Jose Police Department, FOX News reported.

Ironically, Clinton Pappadakis was arrested this week, a week after his brother.

Clifford Pappadakis was a teacher and cross-country coach at Willow Glen Middle School in San Jose. He was fired Dec. 31 while under investigation, the San Jose Mercury News reported.

Clinton Pappadakis was a track coach at San Jose’s Oak Grove High School for more than 20 years. The East Side Union High School District said he had been released from his coaching duties following his arrest, according the paper.

SJPD Arrested a High School Track Coach for Possession of Child Pornography.

San Jose, Calif. – The San Jose Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) / Child Exploitation Detail (CED) Task Force arrested Clinton Pappadakis for possession of child pornography (felony) – 311.11(A) PC.

In September of 2017, suspicious activity involving Clinton Pappadakis was reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).  NCMEC provided the information to the Silicon Valley Crimes Against Children Task Force.  ICAC Detectives initiated an investigation.

Detectives learned that Clinton Pappadakis was an Oak Grove High School track coach and on February 20, 2018, executed a search warrant at Pappadakis’ residence in San Jose.  Child pornography was located on multiple devices belonging to the suspect.    Pappadakis was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on the noted charge.

The San Jose Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) / Child Exploitation Detail (CED) Task Force arrested Clifford Pappadakis for seven counts of Annoying and Molesting a Child (misdemeanor) 647.6 PC and one count of Possession of Child Pornography (felony) 311.11(A) PC.

On September 8, 2017, parents of Willow Glen Middle School students observed Physical Education Teacher / Track and Field Coach Clifford Pappadakis taking photographs of female students. Parents grew suspicious of his photography actions and reported his actions to the school staff.

The San Jose Unified School District initiated an internal investigation that also prompted an immediate police response. Pappadakis was placed immediately on administrative leave.

ICAC detectives initiated a criminal investigation. Search warrants were executed for Pappadakis’ computer and residence. Numerous electronic devices were seized and forensically examined. Forensic investigators located numerous inappropriate images in Pappadakis’ possession.

On December 13, 2017, ICAC detectives submitted the investigation to the Santa Clara District Attorney’s Office. In February of 2018, an arrest warrant was issued for Pappadakis. On February 14, 2018, Pappadakis self-surrendered at the San Jose Police Department.
