BREAKING: House Just Made BOMBSHELL Move To DESTROY Obamacare… And Also THIS

The Republican-controlled House approved legislation Friday that would block federal funding to Planned Parenthood and gut key provisions of Obamacare, Fox News is reporting.

The bill passed 240-189.

Though Republicans have gone after the Affordable Care Act before, as well as Planned Parenthood, this bill is unique in that it uses a parliamentary tactic to make it easier to pass the Senate. Republicans wrapped the bill in a procedure that would shield it from a Senate filibuster — meaning it will need only 51 votes to pass that chamber, as opposed to 60.

But it’s no guarantee that the 54 Senate Republicans would back it, as it faces potential opposition from moderate Republicans concerned it goes too far and GOP senators running for president saying it doesn’t go far enough.

Those included Utah’s Mike Lee as well as presidential contenders Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, who sent a letter to House Republicans urging opposition to the bill saying: “This simply isn’t good enough.”

Rep. Diane Black, R-Tenn. told Fox News, “This is our best opportunity to date to put the bill on the president’s desk and show the American people where his priorities lie.”

The bill would eliminate both the individual and employer mandates of the Affordable Care Act.

It would also eliminate taxes on medical devices and high-priced ‘Cadillac’ insurance policies.

It also prevents Planned Parenthood from being funded by all of us tax-payers for a year.

Unfortunately, the bill has a slim chance of survival in the Senate and absolutely no chance at all of being signed by President Barack Obama. Remember, he has a pen.

Conservative Tribune adds that Democrats reacted to the vote predictably. Heck, I could have written their statements for them.

“This is a hyper-partisan document that is just talking points for extremists,” Rep. Ted Lieu, D-Calif., told Fox.

Extremists? We aren’t the ones that cut fetuses open and sell the parts dude. You liberal trash.

In addition, the White House, promising a veto, claimed the bill would “take away critical benefits and health care coverage from hard-working middle-class families.”

No, Mr. President. That’s what Obamacare did. Whether or not conservatives agree that this was the best way to go about it, what House Republicans are trying to do is make it right.
