QUEENS, NY — Jaimie Walker, 30, has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of his 72-year-old father. The victim was found Thursday morning in the bathroom of his Queens Village home with multiple stab wounds to his neck. Jaimie Walker is additionally charged with criminal mischief for wrecking the interview room inside a police precinct.

District Attorney Melinda Katz said, “The defendant in this case is accused of committing patricide. He allegedly beat his father before stabbing him to death. This was a brutal, violent killing.”

Walker, of Hempstead Avenue in Queens Village, was arraigned on two complaints, one charging him with murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and the second complaint charging him with criminal mischief in the third and fourth degree. Judge Gershuny remanded the defendant on the murder complaint and set bail at $1 on the criminal mischief complaint. Jaimie Walker’s return date is January 20, 2021. If convicted, Walker faces up to 25 years-to-life in prison.

According to the charges, police found Loandows Walker bloody and deceased on the bathroom floor of the apartment where he lived. Jaimie Walker allegedly stomped on the elderly man’s head, choked him and then stabbed him several times in the neck.

According to WNBC, Three unconscious people–a 70-year-old woman, a 31-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman–were found in the living room with no visible injuries. They were taken to a hospital in critical condition. It is unclear what sickened them.

Additionally, while at the 109th police precinct, the suspect allegedly repeatedly slammed a table inside the interview room breaking its leg and then smashed the table multiple times against the two-way glass mirror causing it to shatter.

The investigation was conducted by Detective Brendan Parpan of the New York City Police Department’s 105th Precinct Detective Squad.
