BREAKING: Obama Makes Move To Forever Alter Election Day: ‘Dramatic Political Change’

When Barack Obama first took office in 2008, he promised us that he was going to “fundamentally transform” our nation from what it was, and that’s one promise he’s stayed true to, and his latest attempt at transformation comes with what he wants to do with Election Day.

As it is, people have weeks prior to Election Day to actually cast a vote, and if they’re unable to actually make it to the polls they can usually mail in their ballot. But apparently that’s not enough for Obama, who wants to get every single low information to the polls as possible.

In what would be a historic change to our voting process, Obama would like to make Election Day a national holiday, Rutgers University’s The Daily Targum reported. After lamenting that voter turnout is low in American elections compared to other developed nations – the result of mandatory registration, compulsory voting, and holding elections on weekends and holidays – Obama was asked if we should do the same in our country.

“Absolutely. We are the only advanced democracy that makes it deliberately difficult for people to vote,” Obama replied. “And some of it has to do with the nature of our history and our Constitution, where we allow individual states to determine their own processes for structuring elections within certain boundaries.”

If requiring an ID and giving people weeks to get to the voting booth is making it “difficult,” then he’s right. Otherwise it’s rather easy to cast a vote in America.

Obama continued by praising states like Oregon, which enacted automatic registration for anybody applying for a driver’s license.

“I think that we know some states like Oregon are doing a much better job at extending mail-in voting, increasing tools like online voting that are safe and secure, give people flexibility over a long period of time, (and) early voting,” he continued. “And so everything we can do to make sure that we’re increasing participation is something that we should promote and encourage. Our democracy is not going to function well when only half or a third of eligible voters are participating.”

“The single most dramatic political change that could occur in this country — and the best way for us to relieve the frustrations that people feel around the political process — would be if we had greater participation that was more reflective of the day-to-day concerns that people have,” Dictator Barry concluded.

As we all know, when low information voter turnout is high, Democrats do really well in elections, so it’s no wonder he’s in favor of such proposals. After all, he knows that after his tenure in the White House, it’s going to be a long time before the Democrats are viewed favorably by anyone paying even the slightest bit of attention, so why wouldn’t he and his party work to undermine the democratic process and negate millions of votes by diluting the voting block with uninformed voters and those only looking for handouts?
