JOSEPH HACKETT, 51, OF SARASOTA, AND SEVERAL OTHER FLORIDIANS ASSOCIATED WITH THE OATH KEEPERS WERE CHARGED WITH CONSPIRACY TO OBSTRUCT THE CERTIFICATION OF THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE VOTE. HACKETT WAS ARRESTED RECENTLY AND BOOKED INTO THE PINELLAS COUNTY JAIL.

“They [THE COMMUNIST BIDEN REGIME] said he was a Domestic Terrorist and was conspiracy to overthrow the government.  He is a doctor he has saved people lives,” Hackett’s wife, Dee Hackett said.. “I don’t know why he is still being held,” she said.

On May 28th, 2021, my husband was arrested in connection with the January 6 Capitol protest. My world has been turned upside down. Joe and I have a small family wellness clinic and I fear I may lose it without his support. He has been incarcerated now for almost two months. His practice is completely devastated. Between the legal fees and the house/office bills my daughter and I are living in fear of losing everything. I am reluctantly creating this campaign because I see no other way out of this travesty. We need HELP! 

Joe is not a domestic terrorist and by no means a danger to our community. He is a hard-working member of society. Everyone who knows Joe is absolutely shocked that this has happened to our family. 

Since that Friday in May, we have had news vans in front of our home and have received hate calls. My daughter and I are traumatized by the whole situation.  

I am asking for your help to keep my family together!  If you cannot donate monetarily, please pray for us! I know in my heart that The Lord will rectify this and Joe will be exonerated.

The Gateway Pundit reported on behalf of Hackett:

“**  Joseph’s wife Deena launched a crowdfunding GiveSendGo campaign in hopes of being able to hire a private attorney to represent her husband.  Please help if you can.

Joseph Hackett, a 50-year-old chiropractor, now faces a 20-year sentence in federal prison after “heinously” stepping in the Capitol Building for approximately ten minutes on Jan. 6.”

“According to court documents, prosecutors claim Hackett allegedly walked into the Capitol Rotunda towards the House of Representatives on Jan. 6 at 2:45 pm. He then left the Capitol at 2:54 pm, Gateway Pundit reported.

The Herald-Tribune reported on June 1, about Hackett:

“A Sarasota man is the latest to be indicted in connection with the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, according to new federal documents.

“Graydon Young, 54, of Englewood; Kelly Meggs, 52, of Dunnellon; Connie Meggs, 59, of Dunnellon; Kenneth Harrelson, 40, of Titusville; Jason Dolan, 44, of Wellington; and William Isaacs, 21, of Kissimmee; also were named in the federal court documents. Each is facing multiple charges.

“The Oath Keepers is an organization of the current and former military, police, and first responders who pledge to “defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” At least 16 suspects affiliated with the group have now been charged in connection with the Capitol attack.

Prosecutors say from as early as Nov. 3 through Jan. 6, Hackett, alongside others, knowingly conspired against the U.S. On Nov. 9, Hackett was allegedly in an online meeting with other participants and a leader, only referred to as “Person One” in the documents. USA TODAY has previously identified Oath Keepers founder Elmer Stewart Rhodes as “Person One” in federal charging documents related to the Jan. 6 siege.

Mrs. Hackett spoke to Bannon about the conditions in which her husband is being held.

“I was told the FBI was in my home with a search warrant, and I would have to be told when I could go back. It caught me by surprise.

My husband is a Chiropractor. His practice is now completely gone; I don’t know how I am going to pay our bills.  He has a public defender, so we are in limbo.  He calls when he can.  He was put in the general population with violent criminals.

The public defenders said they couldn’t do anything to help him. I don’t even know what all the charges are.

He has been a Chiropractor for 30 years. Every night at 9 pm, the January 6th detainees sing the Star Spangled banner to keep up their spirits,” she said.

Joe is home!
Today has been a great day! My husband is home with his family. This is the first day in months we have been together. I’m sitting writing this and listening to him converse with our daughter. It’s music to my ears. 

Unfortunately, as happy as we are, we are still living with the fear that he could go back to DC at anytime. They have placed him on house incarceration until his trial date. Which means for him, NO WORK. So, as great as it is to have him home, we are still having to survive with only my income. 

Joe is completely blown away by the support you have been giving us! We thank God for each and every prayer and donation we have received. We still have a long battle ahead of us and appreciate all your prayers. God will overcome! He has given me my husband back even if he cannot work!
