Vancouver homeowner Jason Guerra described Severin (pictured in court) had issues and was making up a pile of excuses after being caught in the act

A man who tackled a burglary suspect and held him on the ground until police arrived said the guy who was trying to steal from him made a startling revelation. The suspect allegedly admitted he had lost control of his bodily functions.

It all started at 11:30 p.m. Sunday at a Vancouver home. Police were called out to reports of a burglary.

Guerra said he was coming in from the garage with his girlfriend when they saw a strange man standing in their living room.

The suspect was holding a laptop and a backpack that belong to Guerra’s son.

Guerra told police the suspect tried to walk out the front door, so he tackled him. The two began wrestling on the ground. That’s when Severin allegedly said he had soiled himself.

“He said everything he could think of,” Guerra told Fox 12. “He said he was in a bad spot. He didn’t mean to. That he was sorry. And one of the last things he said was, ‘come on man, I pooped my pants.”

Police arrived and arrested Severin, but officers said he didn’t go quietly.

According to court documents, he was first taken to the hospital for an evaluation prior to being booked in jail. While at the hospital, he’s accused of kicking a nurse in the arm.

A probable cause affidavit states he also kicked an officer in the face while being handcuffed again after an X-ray.

“He had some issues,” Guerra said. “He had a bad day.”
