MURDER SUSPECT/ 27-year-old Earl Lee of Baltimore

Homicide Investigation

BALTIMORE – On October 6, 2023, at approximately 6:17 p.m., officers responded to the 2000 block of Cliftwood Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 28-year-old male victim unresponsive, suffering from a multiple gunshot wound to the body.

The victim was transported to an area hospital and was pronounced deceased a short time later by hospital staff.

Homicide Suspect Arrested

The suspected murderer has been located and arrested.

A 27-year-old man has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting last month of a prominent Baltimore rapper

In reference to the homicide that occurred in the Eastern District on October 6, 2023, detectives have arrested 27-year-old Earl Lee of Baltimore.

Investigators learned that Lee fatally shot David Boykin, the rapper known as “President Davo,” while in the 2000 block of Cliftwood Avenue.

On November 8, 2023, Regional Auto Theft Taskforce officers arrested Earl Lee while in the 700 block of North Ellwood Street.

Detectives transported Lee to Central Booking Intake Facility where he has been charged with 1st-degree murder and multiple handgun violations.

According to charging documents, Boykin was shot while sitting on a porch on Cliftwood Avenue by an assailant who came from a nearby alleyway. Investigators tied a getaway car seen on surveillance footage to Lee, as it was registered to him.

After getting a “good image” from Ring camera video in the neighborhood where the murder happened, police said they tracked the vehicle through the city using license plate readers and cameras.

Earl Lee is currently being held on a no-bail status.

Excellent work by our law enforcement officers.

If this man is found guilty of 1st-degree murder he stands s good chance of spending the rest of his life in prison.
