Dean James III% AMERICA’S FREEDOM FIGHTERS –

As AFF previously reported, President Trump’s administration has sent in Federal agents to combat the out of control violence in Obama’s ‘hometown’ of Chicago.

Well, it looks like in spite of the liberal leaders objections the Feds are there and police are more than happy to have their help combating the out of control violence that is rampant in Chicago.

We all know about the outrageous amount of killings there but the cops have called in the Feds to help with another crime that is rampant- violent carjackings.

Fox News has more:

Police are holding a news conference Sunday to announce they are teaming up with federal authorities, including agents from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, to deal with the problem.

The new city-wide effort could have at its disposal a federal chopper to track vehicles that are reported carjacked, Fox 32 Chicago reported.

Carjackings have risen sharply in Chicago, from about 700 in 2016 to about 950 in 2017, the station reported.

There have been about 90 so far this year, an average of three a day.

Most carjackings involved a gun.

Last year, Chicago police and the FBI established a joint task force to deal with a surge in carjackings on the West Side.

Three teenage thugs got more than they bargained for Friday when they tried to carjack a vehicle on the North Side that belonged to a retired Chicago cop Ricky Fobbs.

The vehicle was recovered and the teens arrested after Fobbs fought back.

“Just something I felt I had to do,” Fobbs told Fox 32.

Breitbart News reported that Chicago had nearly 4,400 shootings and nearly 800 homicides in 2016. As violence surged, Breitbart News reported that Chicago Police Board Chairwoman Lori Lightfoot wanted federal help. NPR quoted Lightfoot saying:

We need to have more federal gun prosecutions in Chicago. Our federal partners from the U.S. attorney’s office, the ATF, the FBI need to be much more invested in this overall strategy. Chicago Police Department cannot tackle this issue by itself.

On January 24, 2017–just days after his inauguration–Trump addressed the “carnage” in Chicago, pledging to “send in the feds” if local leaders could not stem the tide of violence.
