Signs are being posted at public schools in Okay, Oklahoma that are guaranteed to make liberal’s heads explode. The signs are being posted as a warning to anyone that has intentions of causing harm to students that they will be met with deadly force.

The signs read, ”ATTENTION- Please be aware that certain staff members at Okay Public Schools can be legally armed and may use whatever force is necessary to protect our students.”

The district now allows teachers and staff members to legally carry guns on school grounds, KOTV-TV reports, noting that it’s one of the first districts in Oklahoma to do so.

With only one sheriff’s deputy patrolling the entire town and without the luxury of campus police, Superintendent Charles McMahan explains that this is the right thing to do.

“If something were to ever happen and I didn’t try to defend my kids, I couldn’t live with that,” McMahan said. “That’s kind of why we put this in place.”

McMahan says that he hopes that an incident never takes place but says if they can save a life then the policy is well worth it, saying, “Hopefully, that will never take place. But if it saves a life, it saves a life.”

The principal of Okay High School, Mark Hayes, reportedly pushed for the new gun policy. “There have been numerous shootings in the country, and we want to keep our students safe,” he told the the Muskogee Phoenix. “These are our kids.”

The feedback from parents and grandparents in the small community has been overwhelmingly positive.

“Our kids need to be safe here on campus because we are such a rural area,” Lucretia Echols, who is a grandmother of three Okay students said. “Law enforcement is so far away.”

Robert Weller, who has a grandson at the junior high school is also on board. “If someone wants to come in and start shooting, someone should be able to interrupt it,” he told KOTV.

Of course, teachers and staff who want to bring guns on campus must be approved by the school board, take armed security training and pass several tests each year.

McMahan said superintendents from other districts have sought him out for advice as they’d like to implement similar policies in their districts.

“Whether these people realize it or not, all of these kids are our kids,” McMahan said of the students. “I treat every one of these kids as though they’re mine.”

I’d love to see these signs posted at every school in the country!

God Bless.
