Here is a wonderful story about how a white police officer went above and beyond the call of duty to help a black man out after pulling him over for his “tinted windows.”
The struggling Michigan father wants people to know “there are still real-life superheroes in this world” after a police officer’s random act of kindness recently brought him to tears, ABC reports.
LaVonte Dell told ABC News today he was driving in Westland, Michigan, this past Monday afternoon when he “suddenly saw the red and blue lights” behind car. The 28-year-old dad said his “heart dropped to his stomach” and that he was “so sure” he was going to get a costly ticket because of his vehicle’s tinted windows.
“The officer told me why he pulled me over, which I had predicted, and then he also noticed my 3-year-old in the back wasn’t in a car seat,” Dell said. “He asked me to step out of my vehicle to talk to him, and I was just so scared thinking this couldn’t be good.”
“The dad teared up a little and explained how he didn’t have the money to afford a car seat right now and that he had been running into some tough times,” Scaglione told ABC News today. “So I said, ‘Hey, could you follow me to Walmart?’ and he was a little shocked and asked me, ‘For what?’ I told him I’d be more than happy to buy the car seat for him.”
That’s right, instead of continuing on with giving him a ticket for tinted windows AND for not having his daughter properly strapped in, Scaglione took him to Walmart!
The two of them must have been quite a sight. LaVonte, a black man covered in tats, and a white police officer walking through the aisle together. As LaVonte puts it, you would have thought they were best friends, FOX2 reports.

They checked out and Scaglione pulled out his own money and paid for the proper car seat right then and there.
LaVonte was in shock. He thanked the officer and told him he never met an officer like him. Officer Scaglione’s reponse was perfect: “I’m just doing my job. What good would giving you a ticket do besides putting you further in the hole, making it harder on you to come up?”
LaVonte said he initially forgot to get the officer’s name and spent Tuesday trying to track him down. On Wednesday, he’s going to get a chance to thank him in person. The Westland Police Department is setting up a meeting for 6 p.m. for the two to meet again.

Wow! What a great story huh?
Race relations have been struggling thanks to Obama’s divide and conquer agenda.
The anti-law sentiment is at an all time high thanks to Obama.
This story has it all folks!
By the way, the 2 men were reunited! Take a look!
We wish the best of luck to these wonderful people and ask that God watch over them and keep them safe.
