Police Lt. Brian Rice was found NOT GUILTY of all charges related to the arrest and death of Freddie Gray. We can expect rioting for sure!

Lt. Rice, the highest ranking of six officers charged in relation to Gray’s death, was acquitted of involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangerment and misconduct in office, The Baltimore Sun reported. Circuit Judge Barry Williams dropped a second-degree assault charge midway through the trial, and prosecutors dropped a second misconduct charge at the trial’s start.

As you know, Gray died while in police custody one week after his April 2015 arrest. Lt.Rice helped load Gray, 25, into the police van with his wrists and legs shackled, but without a seat belt. Prosecutors say he suffered severe spinal injuries while being transported in the van to the police station.

In his verdict, Williams said the failure to seat belt a detainee in a transport wagon is not inherently a crime, adding that the state failed to prove both that Rice was aware of his duty to seat belt Gray, and that he intentionally failed in that duty.

“The state failed to show that the defendant, even if he was aware of the risk, consciously disregarded that risk,” the judge said.

Gray’s death was a breaking point in the ongoing debate over racial profiling and the deaths of black men at the hands of white police officers. Baltimore was rocked by riots and looting in the days following Gray’s funeral, prompting “Black Lives Matter” demonstrations across the nation, USA Today reports.

Now that Rice’s criminal trial has come to an end, he will face an administrative review by the police department, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said in a statement. She thanked the community for their continued patience during “this difficult time” and asked for “their continued respect for the judicial process” as the city moves forward.

Two other officers, Edward Nero and Caesar Goodson Jr., were acquitted in May and June; officer William Porter’s case ended in a mistrial in December. Porter is scheduled to be retried in September.

Officer Garrett Miller’s trial is set to begin July 27 and Sgt. Alicia White’s Oct. 13. All officers awaiting trial have pleaded not guilty.

So these officers lives have been ruined by a bunch of racist thugs in power. What a joke.

This is such crap.

God Bless.
