BREAKING: After FIRING O’Reilly And Bolling, Fox News Caves AGAIN

Fox News has had a rough year, especially with its loyal viewers, many of whom are still sour over the firing of Bill O’Reilly and its letting go of Eric Bolling, but it appears as if the network is trying to make up for it now.

For those unaware, the network’s most popular host, O’Reilly, came under fire earlier this year after the far-left smear merchants at Media Matters for America launched a campaign to have advertisers drop his show. Following O’Reilly’s ouster, Media Matters posted a letter gloating that its organization had successfully silenced the most popular cable news host to ever have a television show.

The letter read, in part:

For years Bill O’Reilly has been one the worst purveyors of misinformation on Fox News. A serial misinformer, pushing many of the most extreme, sexist, racist, homophobic, xenophobic conservative theories on TV. Additionally, a bombshell New York Times investigation found that Fox News and Fox host Bill O’Reilly have paid $13 million to settle with five women who accused the host of repeated sexual harassment or verbal abuse. Thanks to Media Matters, O’Reilly and Fox News are being held accountable.

Due to our advertiser education campaign, over 80 advertisers have currently dropped O’Reilly’s show and the momentum continues to build. We are currently at a critical juncture in this campaign I hope you can join Media Matters President Angelo Carusone to hear about the success of the campaign so far, and our plans moving forward.

As if Fox News firing O’Reilly wasn’t bad enough, several months later, a similar attack was waged against Eric Bolling, who had just been given his own show at the 5 p.m. time slot called The Specialists. Almost immediately after the allegations of impropriety came to light, Fox suspended Bolling, pending an internal investigation.

However, before the investigation even concluded, Fox announced that Bolling was being let go from the network, further angering its strong conservative base. Sadly, the day after Bolling’s termination hit the news, his son was found dead in his college dorm.

Now, it appears as if Fox News is once again caving to pressure, but this time it’s not from any far-left activist groups known for lying and defaming their targets – it’s from their conservative base. A report from the Daily Caller reveals that Fox News executives are in negotiations with none other than fierce Trump advocate Laura Ingraham, who’s been a loyal supporter of the President and is seen as a powerful voice for his base.

Drudge tweeted Monday that Ingraham has officially signed a contract with Fox and will be taking the 10 PM slot on the network, as sources have previously told CNN. In another tweet, Drudge indicated that Sean Hannity will move to the 9 PM slot, suggesting that “The Five” will be moved back to 5 PM, its original spot.

According to a report from CNN Money, Hannity will take over the 9 p.m. time slot as The Five moves back to its namesake position at 5 p.m. However, as of this writing, nobody from Fox has been able to confirm a deal has been made.

Although it’s important to note that Drudge is rarely wrong on these types of things.

It’s great to see Fox is finally realizing that if it turns away its conservative base, there won’t be anyone to watch them. Now, all they have to do is bring back O’Reilly and Bolling and they’ll once again have a powerhouse of a network.
