It turns out the Obama State Department censored one of its own press briefings to hide questions about bilateral Iranian negotiations from the public. They cut out around 8 minutes of footage from a press briefing in 2013 and replaced it with a white transition flash on both their website and on YouTube.

The administration is facing questions over the block of missing tape from a 2013 State Department briefing where top spokeswoman Jen Psaki was asked by Fox News about an earlier claim that no direct, secret talks were underway between the U.S. and Iran – when, in fact, they were.

In that exchange, Psaki seemed to acknowledge misleading the press, saying: “There are times where diplomacy needs privacy in order to progress. This is a good example of that.”

The White House claims they have no idea how the eight minutes of material was deleted and is working to restore it.

Wilmot Proviso at Conservative Tribune has more:

Sadly, this is hardly the only time where the White House and Obama administration stands accused of manipulating facts to mislead the mainstream media. The video revelation comes on the heels of a New York Times Magazine profile of deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes, in which he boasted of manipulating the press over the Iran deal.

“We created an echo chamber,” Rhodes said, admitting they circulated a set of White House-approved talking points to the media. “They were saying things that validated what we had given them to say.”

Sen. John McCain of Arizona has become the highest-profile Republican official to respond to the weekend profile. The 2008 GOP standard bearer issued a strongly worded statement Monday, saying the profile “exposed how the White House manipulated and, in some cases, manufactured facts to sell the reckless Iran nuclear deal to the American people as a prelude to large-scale disengagement from the Middle East.”

Unfortunately, McCain is coming around to this truth too late for it to be any good. We’ve known for quite some time that the White House and its allies will manipulate the facts and the press to achieve its goals, especially on Iran.

We’ve been duped again.

Unbelievable…

God Bless.
