BREAKING: Gen. MAD DOG Mattis Just Declared WAR

Sean Brown AMERICA’S FREEDOM FIGHTERS

General James “Mad Dog” Mattis is pretty much the best secretary of defense you could ever ask for, and he proved it with his ultimatum to NATO on Wednesday.

The no-nonsense Marine shares President Trump’s “America First” mentality and realizes that the U.S. disproportionately contributes to the defense organization. Because of this, Mattis issued NATO an ultimatum earlier today; start paying your fair share by the end of the year or you’ll face consequences.

Echoing a demand made repeatedly by President Donald Trump, Mattis said NATO must adopt a plan this year that sets milestone dates for governments to meet a military funding goal of 2 percent of gross domestic product.

The Pentagon chief called it a ‘fair demand’ based on the ‘political reality’ in Washington.

‘No longer can the American taxpayer carry a disproportionate share of the defense of Western values,’ Mattis told the alliance’s 27 other defense ministers, according to a text of his remarks.

‘Americans cannot care more for your children’s future security than you do.’

Mattis noted Russia’s 2014 annexation of Ukraine’s Crimea region and the Islamic State group’s hold over parts of Iraq and Syria, and said that ‘some in this alliance have looked away in denial of what is happening.’

‘Despite the threats from the east and south, we have failed to fill gaps in our NATO response force or to adapt,’ he added.

Throughout his campaign, President Trump promised he would take steps to get member nations of both NATO and the United Nations to start contributing more to the organizations or risk losing U.S. support, which many of them rely on as a part of their national defenses. The statement from Mattis represents a major shift in American foreign policy after decades of U.S. leaders pumping disproportionate amounts of money into both entities with little in return, and is also another attempt from the president to keep true to his word on the campaign trail.

Both are a welcome change to an American public tired of empty promises and politicians wasting hundreds of billions of dollars abroad while racking up debt at a blinding rate.
