Vice President-elect Mike Pence attended a showing of the popular Broadway show Hamilton on Friday night and things didn’t exactly go to well for him.

To begin with, some members of the audience booed Pence as he took his seat, showing absolutely no class or respect for the man or the position he’s about to assume, but then it got worse.

As the performance came to an end, actor Brandon Victor Dixon decided he was going to give Pence a lecture about how a “diverse America” is “alarmed and anxious” about the Trump administration.

“We, sir — we — are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights,” Dixon said to Pence.

Naturally, people weren’t too happy about it.

The following morning, Trump supporters surrounded the Richard Rogers Theater, where the show is performed, to show their discontent with Dixon’s rude behavior, just before President-elect Trump tweeted out to demand an apology from the cast.

But that’s not the worst part.

Apparently the hashtag #BoycottHamilton blew up on social media today, becoming the top trend of the day.

You get the idea, people are ticked, and they should be. Some people were so offended that they vowed to cancel tickets to the Broadway blockbuster.

Earlier this year Broadway producers began lobbying to extend a tax deduction given to investors in their productions for the first year of a show that allows them to pay taxes only after a show turns a profit.

Now Congress is set to vote on whether or not to extend the break and many Republicans are not supportive of the idea, especially now!

Everyone has a right to voice their opinion, but you don’t embarrass a guy who paid money to see your show and reach out to America just because you don’t like the outcome of an election.

That’s not how America works.
