Hillary Clinton has a team of people who are assisting her with her almost certain campaign to be President of the United States. It’s their job to make sure that she gets nothing but good press.

Normally, it’s not a tough job to ensure that a Democrat running for President gets good press. That’s because so much of the press is just the communications arm of the DNC.

That aside, Team Hillary obviously doesn’t want to see her poll numbers slip. Right now she’s fairly popular. We have no idea why that’s the case. We think she has, at best, a lackluster record in the Senate and that she badly bungled the Benghazi fallout.

According to Maeve Reston of The Los Angeles Times, Hillary Clinton’s own advisers have kept her from announcing her candidacy because they believe that her popularity will plummet by 20 points once she announces that she’s running for President.

Note: That’s not a Fox News analyst who said that. That’s coming from members of Hillary’s inner circle. We think that’s fairly significant.

Apparently, Hillary’s advisers believe that her popularity is superficial. That’s totally understandable. She doesn’t have the charisma of the current President. She doesn’t have a long list of accomplishments to show off. In short: She’s shallow.

But she does have smart advisers.
