BREAKING: House Bill Proposed That Will RUIN The IRS- SPREAD THIS

New legislation is being introduced as of Wednesday by the House of Representatives that plans to put a serious kink in the lavish lifestyle the IRS is living at the expense of the American taxpayers. The bill proposes to cut IRS spending by $149 million from their 2017 spending levels left over from the Obama presidency.

The House Appropriations Committee published this legislation and would hold the agency well below it’s 2008 funding.  $11.1 billion would be provided to the tax collection agency to conduct their operation.

In addition to their day to day operations, the bill would also include multiple “riders” that would restrict the IRS from weaponizing certain functions against certain groups as it has done in the past based on political affiliation. In particular this would prevent the IRS from targeting tea party groups and Conservatives by withholding their tax exempt status as well as  preventing the agency from moving forward with proposed rules on political nonprofits.

Many Republicans and Conservatives have expressed concern, seeking to reform the IRS in the wake of its targeting of conservative and tea party groups under the Obama administration previously.

The bill maintains $2.1 billion for taxpayer services and an additional $290 million to improve customer service, such as phone and correspondence response times, fraud prevention and cybersecurity.

“The IRS has been plagued in recent years by the inappropriate actions of its employees and political leadership, resulting in the waste of taxpayer dollars and in unjust treatment and targeting of certain ideological groups,” the committee said in releasing the bill.

“The job of this bill is two-fold — to make wise investments with taxpayer dollars in the programs and agencies that we need to grow our economy and enforce our laws, and to tightly hold the reins on the over-spending and overreach within federal bureaucracies,” said House Appropriations Chairman Hal Rogers (R-Ky.).
