IRAN BOASTS “WE DIDN’T AGREE TO DISMANTLE ANYTHING!”

Contrary to the claims of the White House–which, as the Weekly Standard notes, refuses to release the text of the nuclear deal with Iran–the Iranian regime has not agreed to dismantle any part of its nuclear program, according to Foreign Minister Javad Zarif. “We did not agree to dismantle anything,” he told CNN Wednesday.

Separately, the Middle East Media Research Institute posted footage of an address by Iranian president Hassan Rouhani on Jan. 14, in which he reiterated that the nuclear deal was a “surrender” by the U.S.:

“In a few days, the Geneva agreement will be implemented. Do you know what the Geneva agreement means? It means the surrender of the superpowers to the great Iranian nation.”

“The Geneva agreement means that the world accepts (our) civil nuclear technology, which we achieved through the efforts and the sacrifice of our young scientists. The Geneva agreement means the collapse of the floodgate of the sanctions, forced unjustly upon the beloved, peace-loving Iranian nation.”

Meanwhile, Israel continued its criticism of the six-month interim nuclear deal, which took effect this week, and which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned last year would be an “historic mistake.”
