Saladin Ahmed, a fantasy author and Marvel comic book writer, pointed out a single brown Corn Pop on the cereal box.

“Why is literally the only brown corn pop on the whole cereal box the janitor?” wrote Ahmed, tagging Kellogg’s. “This is teaching kids racism.”
In a statement to USA Today, a Kellogg’s spokesperson said the following:
“Kellogg Company has respect for all people, and our commitment to diversity and inclusion has long been a top priority. We take feedback very seriously, and it was never our intention to offend anyone. We apologize sincerely. The package artwork has been updated and will begin to appear on store shelves soon as it flows through distribution.”

Saladin Ahmed

Arab American writer and poet.

Saladin Ahmed is an American science fiction and fantasy writer and poet. His 2012 book Throne of the Crescent Moon was nominated for the Hugo Award for Best Novel and won the Locus Award for Best First Novel.

Ahmed was born in 1975 in Detroit, Michigan to parents of Lebanese, Egyptian, Irish, and Polish descent. His father, Ismael Ahmed, formerly in the merchant marine, worked both in a factory and as a community organizer. His mother was a political activist.

When asked about being Muslim and Islamic and why he incorporated his”religion” in his writing, Ahmed responded cryptic response:

“Growing up in Arab immigrant communities, my grandmother would, in halting Arabic, try to tell me stories. But I also read translations of the Koran and stuff like that. Being Arab and being a Muslim is part of my consciousness on a daily basis. I didn’t want to write books that’s about Islam. I’m choosing to write a religion that looks like a religion that gets maligned a lot in the culture the book is being read in.”

What in the hell is he even talking about?

Here are some of this genius’s tweets:

“avoiding my mentions which are particularly full of upset racist dipshits right now. sorry if this means I’ve missed your non-dipshit words.”

Saladin is tweeting all sorts of racist remarks, calling ANYONE who calls him out, a NAZI and a dipshit.  By his own words, he clearly is not a fan of white people and anyone who opposes his Islamic views.
