We all know that key fobs are used to unlock our automobiles but what you may not know that they are also an excellent means of preventing potential crimes!

That’s right folks, you can foil a potential burglary, a rape or other dangerous situations simply by using your key fob! But how?

It’s actually a common sense and the tip was posted by a man named Bryan Silva on Facebook.

Here’s what Bryan suggests:

“Put your car keys beside your bed at night. If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panic button for your car. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car battery dies.”

He adds:

“If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break into your house, odds are the burglar/rapist won’t stick around. After a few seconds, all the neighbors will be looking out their windows to see who is out there and sure enough the criminal won’t want that. And remember to carry your keys while walking to your car in a parking lot. The alarm can work the same way there. This is something that should really be shared with everyone. Maybe it could save a life or a sexual abuse crime.”

Silva suggests that you test the remote alarm from various places in your home to make sure that the vehicle’s alarm is activated while it’s parked in the driveway or your garage.

Now, we can all agree that the best way to protect yourself and your family is by owning a gun. But in many areas it is illegal to fire off a warning shot to scare off the thugs.

So, this is actually a useful tool that could prevent a crime without using deadly force.

My advice is to have firearms ready to roll. For those of you that don’t own a gun, this simple trick could buy you some time until the police arrive to save you.

We hope you enjoyed this and found the information useful!

Spread the word folks!
