JUST IN: Leftist HACK Katie Couric Gets DEVASTATING News After Peddling FAKE NEWS

Liberal darling Katie Couric has been caught over the years peddling fake news, and her inaccurate reporting has finally caught up to her.

For the past four years, she’s been employed by Yahoo News as its global news anchor. However, as time passed and Couric was deemed untrustworthy, her ratings consistently fell, and her female privilege wasn’t enough to save her this time around.

The Washington Free Beacon is reporting that Yahoo has terminated her $10 million annual contract, effective immediately, and now she’ll only be working with the company on a project-by-project basis. Much like Megyn Kelly, Couric failed to resonate with viewers and ended up driving them away, and like Kelly, Couric was given the boot.

From the Free Beacon:

Couric’s headlining interview show for Yahoo News has been canceled. Her $10 million contract ended in March 2017 and was renewed through June. Couric will continue working with Yahoo News and its corporate parent Oath on a project-by-project basis.

“Over the last four years, Katie has created a vast portfolio of work that has been equal parts inspiring, thought-provoking and fun to watch,” an Oath spokesperson told Recode. “We’re proud of everything she has accomplished and look forward to exploring ways to work together in the future.”

Couric’s four-year tenure was marred by criticism she received in the wake of revelations she and her fellow filmmakers deceptively edited an interview with gun rights activists in their 2016 Under the Gun film. In that film, a group of activists with the Virginia Citizens Defense League are shown sitting in silence for nine seconds following a question from Couric about terrorism and background checks. However, raw audio obtained by the Washington Free Beacon shows several of the activists immediately responded to Couric’s question.

Couric and the film’s director later admitted to editing in the silence and apologized “if anyone felt” the deceptive edit made them look bad.

Ouch. Meanwhile, Couric was recently the target of fierce criticism for comments she made regarding fake news. Speaking with the New York Daily News, Couric decried fake news and said it’s “tearing [America] apart at the seams.”

Ironically, she never mentioned any of the times she was busted creating fake news. No, instead she used anecdotal evidence from “friends” as evidence that it’s other people, not her, creating the problem with fake news in America.

“I remember I got sent a lot of stories from friends who were quite educated and were like, ‘Did you see this?’” Couric tells the Daily News. “And I would say, ‘Come on, you’re kidding, right? This is BS.’”

B.S., you say? You mean like deceptively editing videos to make pro-gun people look uneducated and stupid?

Yeah, that kind of thing is tearing the country apart, so why don’t you stop doing it.
