BREAKING: Liberals Make Their Move In TEXAS… BIG MISTAKE

The leadership in Texas both through Governor Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton are attempting to protect the good tax paying citizens of their state from illegal invasion.  They previously signed into law SB 4.  The bill seeks to deter as well a take punitive measures against local cities and counties such as Austin from the implementation of sanctuary policies.

However, activist judges are now actively attempting to circumvent that process.  U.S. district judge Sam Sparks, a George W. Bush appointee, struck down a lawsuit filed by AG Paxton on Wednesday.  AG Paxton filed the suit in anticipation of push back that might be received in the effort to enforce this law. However, this does not end the fight because another lawsuit filed in June by the city of San Antonio is also being fought to determine if the law is Constitutional.

Curious exactly how one can debate the Constitutionality of protecting your citizenry from those that broke the laws of the country to enter U.S. borders illegally in the first place?

Paxton said in a statement –

“We were first to file a lawsuit concerning SB 4, filed this case in the only proper court, and moved quickly to consolidate other lawsuits against SB 4 in Austin. The health, safety, and welfare of Texans is not negotiable. We’re disappointed with the court’s ruling and look forward to pressing our winning arguments in the San Antonio cases and beyond (if necessary) on this undoubtedly constitutional law.”

Spark’s dismissal ensures that the Sanctuary City ban’s constitutionality will be decided by San Antonio’s lawsuit. The question being asked is whether cities have the right to direct local law enforcement AGAINST working federal immigration officials.  HOW IS THIS EVEN A QUESTION???

Clinton appointee U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia presides over the lawsuit in San Antonio. A seven-hour hearing was held on June 26, 2017, but no ruling has been issued as of yet.

The San Antonio lawsuit was filed by City Councilman Rey Saldana filed the lawsuit with NO vote from the citizenry. Multiple other Texas sanctuary cities have joined in the lawsuit. Saldana has publically praised his own father for entering the U.S. illegally.  The suit was filed with the Mexican American Legal Defense And Education Fund (MALDEF).

A MALDEF spokesperson called the law “hateful” and “misguided,” arguing the city’s “loss of control” over its police department would result in residents being asked about their immigration status, which MALDEF says violates the 14th Amendment.

During the June 26th  hearing, Assistant Attorney General Darren McCarty spoke a mouthful when he told Garcia –

“There is an ongoing debate in the country about federal immigration law. That is a healthy and appropriate debate, and it should be decided in legislatures and Congress. Where it is not appropriate to decide it — respectfully, your honor — is in litigation.”
