‘Like A Divorce Case’: GOP Rep Drops BOMB About Information Obama Officials Collected On Trump

A Republican congressman revealed what information is contained within the intelligence reported created about members of the Trump campaign, and they went far beyond any national security issues.

N.Y. Rep. Peter King appeared on Fox News last night to make the bombshell revelations, which he described as being similar to a “divorce case,” where investigators dig up dirt to try to figure out what people are doing. He also said that there was “nothing of substance,” indicating that the information being collected was done only for political reasons since he couldn’t see anything even remotely threatening to the country.

“This is information about their everyday lives–who they were talking with, who they were meeting, where they were going to eat, really nothing of substance of value unless you’re trying to lay out a dossier on somebody.” King told Fox News on Wednesday. “Sort of like in a divorce case where lawyers are hired, investigators are hired just to find out what the other person is doing from morning until night and then you try to piece it together later on.”

King’s description of the reports were similar to those from former U.S. Attorney Joseph diGenova, who said he also saw the evidence that Rice was spying on the Trump team. diGenova had his description confirmed by sources within the intelligence community who had direct knowledge of them, which means that now several unrelated people have all described seeing the same intelligence.

“What was produced by the intelligence community at the request of Ms. Rice were detailed spreadsheets of intercepted phone calls with unmasked Trump associates in perfectly legal conversations with individuals,” diGenova told the Daily Caller.

The former prosecutor also said he didn’t see any “illegal activity by anybody of the Trump associates, or anyone they were speaking with.”

“In short, the only apparent illegal activity was the unmasking of the people in the calls,” he concluded.
