Olympic alpine skier Lindsey Vonn angered Americans on Wednesday when she told CNN she wouldn’t go to the White House if invited after the Olympics, and now she’s learning that wasn’t a good idea.

We previously reported that the 33-year-old prior Gold Medalist stated that she won’t be “representing” the President during the Olympic Games in South Korea this year, and that’s not all. She even took a shot at the fine men and women in President Trump’s cabinet, suggesting they’re not representing our nation as well as say, the previous administration – the most corrupt in history.

“Well, I hope to represent the people of the United States, not the president,” Vonn told CNN.

The 33-year-old went even further by taking a not-so-veiled swipe at members of the Trump administration.

“I want to represent our country well,” Vonn explained. “I don’t think that there are a lot of people currently in our government that do that.”

Vonn’s comments aren’t entirely surprising, but they are extremely tasteless. This same alpine skier visited the Obama White House numerous times over the last eight years, including with her ex-boyfriend Tiger Woods, so her issue isn’t with government, but with President Trump himself.

Such was evident when she was asked whether or not she’d accept an invitation from Trump to the White House after the games as a congratulations. Her answer wasn’t exactly that of a professional athlete.

“Absolutely not,” she remarked.

As you would imagine, such comments during the divisive times we live in didn’t sit well with Americans. In fact, social media erupted with the hashtag #BoycottUnderArmour in response to Vonn’s divisive and inflammatory remarks.

Check it out:

“So UnderArmour wants to attract more #BoycottUnderAmourattention with Lindsey Vaughn? Ok you got it! #BoycottUnderArmour

“UnderArmour had plenty of problems before you came along. Now they have many more because of you. #boycott

“I was a huge fan until you brought politics into the sport. We are a nation united, from the president on down to every US citizen. No longer a fan. ”

“I was going to buy Under Armour for my daughter, who’s a Marine. Lindsey, who apparently hates our president and represents your company changed my mind. #BoycottUnderArmour

#boycottUnderArmour for backing this jerk!!!”

@UnderArmour if you support @lindseyvonn and her disrespect of the president the people of this country will boycott you and the Olympics #BoycottUnderArmour and lindsey vonn for disrespecting”

“Anti-American pro-Matt Lauer rapist Lindsey Vonn trashes the United States President abroad – #BoycottUnderArmour her sponsor.”

“Seems like @lindseyvonn won’t be representing @realDonaldTrump @POTUS in the #olympics. Then I ask her to return any $$$ she received from the Gov’t for training. After that I say #boycottlindseyvonapparel #boycottunderarmour #libtard

Yikes. That’s not good.

We’re not entirely sure what led Vonn to make such idiotic comments – whether she was trying to be one of the “cool kids” or if she’s a loyal leftist – but she should have learned from the mistakes of others who’ve done the same – the outrage was far and wide, and many killed or seriously damaged their careers as a result.

Unfortunately for her, it looks as if she’s going to face a similar fate.

It’s too bad she fails to realize that over 63 million people voted for President Trump, so if she says she’s not representing him, then she’s really saying she’s not representing any of us.

Maybe it’s time for her to forfeit her spot on the U.S. Olympic team so we can replace her with someone who’s going to represent us all.
