WATCH: Man PLOWS Through Radical Protesters… Look What Happens Next!

As a group of people protested outside a U.S. representative’s office in Brea over immigrant rights, a driver moved his car through the crowd, which resulted in the driver’s brief arrest Thursday.

Authorities said the incident happened around 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Brea Boulevard and Birch Street. It happened down the street from Republican U.S. Rep. Ed Royce’s office.

Members of SEIU United Service Workers West union were in the crowd of about 200 people when they moved into the intersection. As they blocked the area, authorities said a driver on Birch Street continued trying to move through it even when protesters surrounded the vehicle.

At one point, a demonstrator jumped on the hood of the vehicle as the car moved forward and then stopped. Police were at the scene, saw the vehicle moving through the crowd and stopped the driver. His keys were removed from the car and he was arrested.

Daniel Wenzek leaned on his horn and allegedly slowly drove through a line of the activists, according to police and video of the incident provided by protesters.

Daniel Wenzek was accused of driving a 2013 Toyota Avalon through a line of about 200 protesters at Birch and Brea boulevards about 1 p.m., Brea police Lt. Darrin Devereux said. After being booked, Wenzek was later released pending results of the investigation.

Wenzek was driving west on Birch at Brea when he leaned on his horn and slowly drove through a line of the activists, according to police and video of the incident provided by protesters. Some of the protesters jumped on the hood of the car and banged on the vehicle before police intervened, circled the car and made Wenzek stop and exit the Toyota.

The driver, identified as 56-year-old Brea resident Daniel Wenzek, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, but later released pending further investigation.

The union’s president, David Huerta, released a statement regarding the incident, saying six people were taken to a hospital for an evaluation. The incident was also called a “deliberate and hateful crime” in the statement.

But police described the situation as Wenzek just trying to get through the intersection. Protesters left the scene soon after the incident happened.

Several hundred activists started their day at MacArthur Park in Los Angeles to hold a news conference on issues related to Temporary Protected Status for many residents from Central America, Cohen said. The activists are concerned the Trump administration will roll back TPS for immigrants from El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua.

Many of the activists then boarded buses in a caravan to Royce’s office to encourage him to resist stripping residents of TPS, he said.

“They boarded buses to deliver handwritten notes to Congressman Royce’s office with the hope of pushing Royce to preserve TPS, but also to create a permanent solution,” Cohen said.

These clowns that go out and block traffic are the ones breaking the law and endangering drivers as well as themselves.  If a person feels threatened and is scared for their life, they have every right to escape the threat by any means necessary.

The video clearly shows these delusional morons jumping on his car, throwing objects at it, pounding on it with sticks and the driver clearly felt threatened and attempted to flee to safety.  Only in California can YOU be the guilty one for trying to leave a scene where a mob is attacking your vehicle.

Who would have done the same exact thing as this driver?  What do they expect you to do if your safety is threatened by a mob of rioting protestors?

I say we have a, “Floor It” law where if idiot rioters and protesters block traffic and you feel threatened, you are within your rights to floor it and escape to safety.
