A massive manhunt is under way for a chainsaw-wielding lunatic who wounded five people — one seriously — at a health insurer’s office building in Switzerland.

The attacker entered the building in Schaffhausen, 23 miles north of Zurich, about 10:40 a.m. local time, wounding several employees.

One person was seriously hurt and four others sustained light injuries when Swiss citizen Franz Wrousis, 51, went on a rampage at the offices of CSS, a leading health insurance company. Authorities on Monday afternoon downgraded earlier reports of two victims with serious injuries, The Guardian reported.

A shop owner in the area told local news site Blick a man with a chainsaw was walking through the streets terrorizing shoppers. The attacker fled the scene by the time police arrived, but officials identified the suspect as Franz Wrousis who has two previous convictions for weapon offenses, Fox News reported.

Police released photos of Wrousis and described him as a bald man with an unkempt appearance. Wrousis previously registered himself as living in Graubuenden in southern Switzerland.

On Monday afternoon, police discovered the Volkswagen they believed Wrousis was driving. It wasn’t immediately clear if investigators found significant evidence in the vehicle.

Police believe the attack was directly targeted at the insurance company but could not comment further on a possible motive while the attacker remained on the run.

“This was first and foremost a crime against this insurance agency,” senior regional police official Ravi Landolt told reporters, though there was no exact word on the suspect’s motive.

“We have information that this man is dangerous, that he is aggressive and, shall we say, psychologically disturbed,” Landolt added.

Police spokesperson Cindy Beer confirmed that the incident was not being treated as a terrorist attack.

Schaffhausen’s old town has been sealed off as police continue to search for the perpetrator in the center and vicinity of Switzerland’s northernmost city.

Wrousis, described as an approximately 6 ft. tall male, bald and of “unkempt appearance”, was already known to police in relation with two offenses against the country’s weapons law, in 2014 and 2016. Police were able to release several close-up pictures of the wanted man. (shown above)

We hope they catch this scumbag and get him off the streets for good.

God Bless.
