McConnell Retirement Announcement- He’s Going To… [W/VIDEO]

There comes a time when it’s time to call it quits.

That time comes when your company is failing, or you have reached a ripe old age and it’s time to retire, if possible.

When it comes to politicians like Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters and several others they have done their duty and definitely have the means financially to comfortably retire without having to dig into their retirement accounts or max out a bunch of credit cards to pay the bills.

Which brings me to RINO Mitch McConnell.

It’s time for him to hang it up.

The dude has had some problems lately including falling, hitting his head and suffering a concussion and has frozen up during 2 press conferences.

He just stood there with a blank look on his face.

He looked like a figure in a wax museum for God’s sake.

I’m telling you it’s time for him to go!

McConnell refuses to go anywhere

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., told reporters Wednesday he intends to finish his time as leader and complete his Senate term, which sunsets at the end of 2026, FOX reports.

“I’m going to finish my term as leader, and I’m going to finish my Senate term,” McConnell, 81, said when asked to respond to those who are calling on him to step down over his recent health concerns.

His term as Senate minority leader concludes at the end of 2024.

Anthony Smith at The GOP Times has more:

Sadly, far too many members of the GOP continue to encourage this rather than move on and replace him in leadership.

For instance, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) stated, “I feel really good behind Mitch. Let’s move forward.”

What a joke!

I found that comment rather interesting considering how much Trump hates McConnell and the fact that Graham and Trump remain close friends.

Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., told reporters after the luncheon:

“Mitch talked about his health history.”

“He went over the tests he’s had, said he’s been given a clean bill of health, indicating he’s had two of these episodes. And both of them happen at press conferences.”

So what does that prove?

I’m a big Kennedy fan but he’s wrong on this one.

Voters were pretty clear they wanted McConnell removed, but Senate Republicans refused to vote for anyone else.

Not only that, Senator Rick Scott (R-FL), who ran against McConnell for leadership, was pretty much ostracized by other Republicans.

Meanwhile, Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., told reporters before the luncheon that he was concerned about McConnell.

“I’m concerned about his health. I mean, I’m concerned about the president’s health. I’m concerned about his health,” Hawley told reporters. “I don’t think you can have it both ways.”

Hawley also doesn’t think McConnell is the right person to restore the GOP majority in the Senate: “That’s why I voted against him in December.”

Make no mistake about it… these people no longer represent the voters.

Instead, they represent self-interest and big-money donors.

One thing for sure, they are basically spineless and useless.

It’s freaking out of control.
