Sassy Liberty AMERICA’S FREEDOM FIGHTERS –

It’s been 126 days since the 2016 election, but on the corners of James Robertson and 4th Avenue, in Nashville, Tennessee on March 15, 2017, the fire was alive!  Thousands of people, some driving from many miles away, converged upon Municipal Auditorium in hopes to see President Donald J. Trump speak. Many waiting hours in line in the 36 degree frigid temperatures.  I was one of those people.

Decked out in my Trump gear I got in line to wait at 12:30 p.m. CST.  Doors to event opened at 3:30 p.m. Before President Trump made his way to where I and several thousand American Patriots anxiously awaited his arrival, he made a stop at the Hermitage and the tomb of former American president Andrew Jackson to honor him.

It is the first time in 50 years that a U.S. president has visited the Tomb to pay respects. Trump said on the 250th anniversary of Jackson’s birth that Jackson was “one of our great presidents” and opposed the “arrogant elite.”  President Trump then asked the audience: “Does that sound familiar to you?”

Nashville’s own mayor, Megan Berry, refused to greet the president at the airport or come to the rally.  Proving once again that she is attempting to turn Nashville into a vile liberal cesspool.  Reps. Mae Beavers, Marsha Blackburn, and Sen. Bob Corker were in attendance.

The line stretched for over 3 miles according to reports of people hopeful to get the opportunity to see and hear President Trump speak.

While waiting in line a variety of media from different outlets from newspaper and online publications to the traditional news media and even local radio turned out.  One such radio station, local bubble gum pop and Top 40 station 107.5 the River tried to ask a variety of questions that attempted to make Trump supporters look less than intelligent.  The first woman, Lynn, actually goes on Facebook live with him gets asked about President Trump and banning 4 piece chicken nugget meals with a mandatory 6 chicken nuggets. I am the 2nd person he speaks too. Watch me as I fact check him on his idiotic question about Nickelback –

As the doors opened the Secret Service and the TSA were working hand in hand to screen everyone in as they come into the Auditorium.  It took a great deal of time as you can imagine.

The capacity for the auditorium was 8,500 people. But at 6:30 p.m., when the president was scheduled to speak, there were still hundreds of empty seats – not for a lack of interest – but because of people waiting to get through security.

Trump delayed his speech for more than 30 minutes in attempts to allow everyone time to get everyone inside and by the time his speech was over, almost every seat was filled.

The fire department told News 2 about 6,500 to 7,000 are believed to have made it inside.

President Trump walked out on the stage while Lee Greenwood sang, “I’m Proud to be an American” and amidst much anticipation and applause. His first words to his supporters were –

So I’m thrilled to be in Nashville, Tennessee, the home of country music, southern hospitality, and the great president Andrew Jackson.”

This is President Trump’s first visit to Nashville since being elected as Commander in Chief. He commented on the thousands of people in attendance, saying, “This is some crowd. You have to see outside; you wouldn’t even believe it.”

His speech touched on several issues important to many Americans, such as immigration, terrorism, health care, and taxes.

Don’t even think about it. We will build our wall. Don’t even think about it,” he said.

Trump noted there are “hundreds of bidders” and “everybody wants to build our wall,” saying it’s currently under design.

The border by itself right now is doing very well. It’s becoming very strong. General Kelly has done a great job.”

He also addressed the issue on everyone’s mind regarding the Wednesday’s ruling from a federal judge in Hawaii that blocked his ban on travel from several majority-Muslim countries, calling it an “unprecedented judicial overreach,” saying it was put in place for “the safety and security of our people.”

We’re going to win. We’re going to keep our citizens safe. The danger is clear. The law is clear. The need for my executive order is clear.”

The president also spoke on health care, saying –

There is one more thing we have to do. We are going to repeal and place horrible, disastrous Obamacare. If we leave Obamacare in place, millions and millions of people will be forced off their plans.”

Trump told the crowd our senators here in Tennessee told him we are “practically down to no insurers. The insurers are fleeing. It’s a catastrophic situation.”

Toward the end of his rally speech, the president said it’s time to embrace our destiny.

Anything we can dream for our country we can achieve for our country. All we have to do is tap into that American pride that is swelling our hearts and stirring our souls, and we found that out in our last election. We are all Americans and the future truly belongs to us. The future belongs to all of you. This is your moment. This is your time. This is the moment history is made. All we have to do is put our own citizens first, and together we will make America strong again. We will make American wealthy again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again. We will make America great again.

The crowd alternately booed the media and led a rousing chant lasting for almost a minute of, “LOCK HER UP!”

Of course, NO President Trump rally would be complete without PROTESTERS!  They showed up in epic fashion with their outlandish and ridiculous demands, screeching things like “Healthcare is a Human Right”…UMMM NO actually it isn’t.  It is a SERVICE.  Never mind EVERYONE has healthcare in this country.  What these idiots are demanding is Health Insurance paid for pay someone else.

Signs were present stating everything from “Respect your Mother Earth” to “I stand with Planned Parenthood” to the ever infamous “#NotMyPresident.”

This one was my personal favorite.  Apparently, Google doesn’t work for them?

President Trump said it best – “This is the hour when history is made. All we have to do is put our own citizens first” and he is absolutely right.  It’s a shame that leftist agitators can’t recognize what is right in front of their face.

God Bless.
