Metallica’s BADASS James Hetfield Drops NUKE On Snowflake Libs: ‘I Had To Leave California Because…’

Metallica’s front man and rock god James Hetfield isn’t too fond of liberals.

While his bandmate Lars Ulrich is a far-left dingbat who promised to leave the country if Donald Trump won the election, Hetfield was just the opposite. In fact, Hetfield likely welcomed The Donald’s victory after he was forced to leave his beloved California home because he couldn’t stand the arrogance of the leftists he was surrounded by.

In an interview on The Joe Rogan Experience, Hetfield explained why he moved from sunny San Francisco, the place he called home since the early 80s, out to Vail, Colorado. Being an avid hunter and NRA member, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize he mixed with the left like oil and water, so he decided to relocate to a place with less judgmental people.

“I kind of got sick of the Bay Area, the attitudes of the people there, a little bit. They talk about how diverse they are, and things like that, and it’s fine if you’re diverse like them,” said Hetfield. “But showing up with a deer on the bumper doesn’t fly in Marin County. My form of eating organic doesn’t vibe with theirs.”

Hetfield probably could have dealt with the laws if it weren’t for the people, but the again California’s ultra-strict gun regulations likely didn’t help the situation.

“There was just a… I don’t know… I felt that there was an elitist attitude there — that if you weren’t their way politically, their way environmentally, all of that, that you were looked down upon,” he said.

Hetfield explained that remaining in California was becoming “unhealthy” for him because of the “attitude” of the people there. He also contrasted Californians with the people of Colorado, explaining “they’re less obsessed with stopping what you’re doing and more enjoying what they’re doing.”

In closing, Hetfield explained that the left’s refusal to embrace ideological diversity just became too much of a problem for him.

“I kind of just took it as, okay, that’s how it’s been for me in the Bay Area. People don’t understand it. It’s just like with anything. I don’t think they understand that someone can be as passionate about something else as passionate as they are about what they are passionate about. So if you’re as passionate about something, there’s someone who’s opposite, and that’s okay. You can get along, you can talk about it. No one’s right, no one’s wrong. This is my life; I like living it this way. You like living your life that way. I totally get it. But we can coexist in this. And let’s really be diverse.”

So there you have it. One of the few in the music industry who isn’t only conservative, but isn’t afraid to speak up about his beliefs.

It could also help that Metallica is one of the greatest rock bands to ever exist and they have more money than God, so it’s not like they’re ever going to have to worry about not getting work. But regardless, at least he’s calling it as he sees it, and that alone is worth commending, especially in today’s hostile political environment.
