The Queen converting to Islam and Buckingham Palace turned into a mosque – that was the vision of Britain under Sharia law proposed some. Muslims in London say Queen Elizabeth has to convert to Islam or leave the country.

Such a conversion would violate the monarch’s oath of office, taken at the time of the Coronation. As of the last one, in 1953, the relevant part of it read:

Archbishop. Will you to the utmost of your power maintain the Laws of God and the true profession of the Gospel? Will you to the utmost of your power maintain in the United Kingdom the Protestant Reformed Religion established by law? Will you maintain and preserve inviolably the settlement of the Church of England, and the doctrine, worship, discipline, and government thereof, as by law established in England? And will you preserve unto the Bishops and Clergy of England, and to the Churches there committed to their charge, all such rights and privileges, as by law do or shall appertain to them or any of them?

Queen. All this I promise to do.

If the monarch converted to Islam she would have to abdicate, because it would violate this promise. Succession would pass to whatever person Parliament has designated.

Statistics show that roughly 5,200 people in the United Kingdom have converted to Islam annually. The number of Muslim converts in Britain has passed 100,000, fueled by a surge in young white women adopting the Islamic faith.

The figure has almost doubled in ten years – with the average convert now a 27-year-old white woman fed up with British consumerism and immorality.

The numbers, revealed in a study by multi-faith group Faith Matters, have led to claims that the country is undergoing a process of ‘Islamification’.

All of this comes after London terror attack yesterday and identified as 52-year-old Khalid Masood. This is the man behind the deadly rampage that left at least 4 people dead, including a police officer, outside of London’s Parliament on Wednesday.

Muhammad Afzal, chairman of the Birmingham Central Mosque, stated that Masood did not worship at the mosque and that from his understanding, Massood “lived most of his life in Kent and was a convert of Islam.”

Prime Minister Theresa May called the attack “sick and depraved” in a defiant address to Parliament early Thursday.

“An act of terrorism tried to silence our democracy, but today we meet as normal … we are not afraid and our resolve will never waver in the face of terrorism,” she said. “Democracy and the values it entails will always prevail.”
