House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi shocked the political world today.

On Sunday, the California moonbat vehemently defended Rep. john Conyers against allegations that he was a vicious sexual predator during his years in Congress, calling him a, “icon” and stating he should get a pass because of who he is. However, once the backlash for her remarks came – and it came swiftly – she had a change of heart, and this morning during her press briefing took an entirely different stand on the issue.

Breitbart News reported that Pelosi addressed reporters to state, reluctantly, that she believes Conyers should step down from his position in Congress.

“The allegations against Congressman Conyers, as we have learned more since Sunday, are serious, disappointing, and very credible,” Pelosi said. “It’s very sad.”

“The brave women who came forward are owed justice,” she continued. “I pray for Congressman Conyers and his family and wish them well. However, Congressman Conyers should resign.”

Whoa. Like seriously, WHOA. Pelosi is as partisan as you can get, so such a call from her is serious…really serious.

“As dean, Congressman Conyers has served our Congress for more than five decades and shaped some of the most consequential legislation of the last half-century,” added Pelosi. “However, zero tolerance means consequences.”

“For everyone, no matter how great the legacy, it is no license to harass or discriminate. In fact, it makes it even more disappointing,” Pelosi concluded.

This reporter documented on the Right Wing Tribune earlier that the allegations against Conyers continue to get worse, with one of his former staffers breaking her silence this morning and revealing the hell she endured while working under the longest-serving member of Congress.

Early Thursday morning, a former staffer under a confidentiality agreement broke her silence to reveal the years of sexual abuse she suffered from the 88-year-old while working in his office. 61-year-old Marion Brown said that the Democrat wouldn’t stop propositioning her for sex throughout her entire career working with him, which lasted over a decade, FOX59 reported, and that’s not even the worst part.

Marion Brown, 61, said the Democratic congressman propositioned her for sex multiple times over more than a decade. She said she stayed on the job because she needed to support her family and found the work rewarding.

“It was sexual harassment … violating my body,” she said. “Propositioning me. Inviting me to hotels with the guise of discussing business and then propositioning me … for sex.”

The Associated Press left messages Thursday seeking comment from Conyers’ lawyer, who has said the 88-year-old will fight the misconduct allegations.

Last week, BuzzFeed News reported Conyers had settled a complaint in 2015 for $27,000 from a female staffer who alleged she was fired because she rejected his sexual advances. BuzzFeed didn’t disclose her name in its initial report and said the settlement was confidential.

Brown’s lawyer later confirmed that she was that victim. While she’s putting herself “at risk” now for speaking out in spite of the non-disclosure agreement, she wants people to know she’s “not a liar.”

Yikes. Amid the current political climate, it’s safe to say that Conyers’ days in Congress are numbered.
