Video of Lawrence O’Donnell’s behind-the-scenes meltdown on the MSNBC show, “The Last Word” was leaked last month showing the extreme left-leaning anti-Trump news personality losing his every loving mind in a fit of impotent rage.

Now it seems the MSNBC editor responsible for leaking the video of O’Donnell’s epic temper tantrum has been fired by the network. By all means let us not at ALL hold accountable the man seen by one and all verbally abusing his staff, punching furniture, and hurling office supplies on set.

Let us instead fire the individual that EXPOSED his nonsensical, abusive and downright unhinged behavior!  Let’s SHOOT the messenger! Way to go NBC! No wonder your ratings are in the toilet!

NBC went through the effort to find and track down the person responsible for exposing any illusions the public at large had about O’Donnell’s supposed calm and cool demeanor.  The eight-minute video clip showed him ranting and raving about the voices in his head…..errr I mean earpiece….and hammering next door.  No one could hear any hammering….just O’Donnell.

The video shows O’Donnell screaming at everyone to “stop the hammering!” and naturally he goes on to play the blame game, blaming the producers for not properly managing his production. The video clip also goes on to show a clearly enraged O’Donnell slamming his fists on the table toddler style while making grotesque facial expressions worthy of any 3-year-old toddler.

Naturally, the video went viral on social media.  So the hunt to track this leaker down began….

According to Page Six

NBC has tracked down and fired the staffer who leaked the infamous — and wildly entertaining — tape of Lawrence O’Donnell’s meltdown during which he swore at his crew because of “insanity in my earpiece.”

Multiple sources said that a male “Today” show editor was found to be the culprit who compiled and leaked the eight-minute video of O’Donnell raging at staff during breaks in an Aug. 29 live broadcast of his show “The Last Word.”

In the clip, a furious O’Donnell slams his fist on his desk and rants about “insanity in the control room” and “stop the hammering!” and what he calls “f—king out-of-control s—t.”

One source said, “The video of Lawrence O’Donnell was leaked on Sept. 20. The leaker was identified, confronted and fired on Sept. 26. It turned out to be a ‘Today’ show editor who said he did it because he thought it was funny. But it wasn’t exactly the perfect crime — he left a very clear trail.”

Sources connected with the leak had told Page Six the video was slipped to Mediaite as a broadcast-quality digital clip — and that only a handful of people are believed to be capable of accessing and transmitting such a file.

O’Donnell later apologized on social media for his raging outburst but he has thus far had no comment on the firing of the employee that leaked the original video.  Though here’s a thought – perhaps if you don’t want videos of you acting like a giant douche leaked? Well, don’t act like a giant douche?  Seems pretty simple!
