While millions of American families face difficult choices when it comes to putting food on the table and heating their homes this winter, members of Congress are indulging in pork projects that don’t pass the smell test.

Examples from this year’s legislation include $1.5 million to encourage people to eat outside in sunny Pasadena, California; $1.1 million for a solar energy array in cloudy Kirkland, Washington; $2 million for Baltimore’s “Great Blacks in Wax” museum; $44,000 per resident for water infrastructure on the tiny island of St. George, Alaska; $3.6 million for a Michelle Obama Trail in Georgia; and $2 million to promote “dirt bike culture” in Baltimore.

Congressional leadership released a massive $1.85 trillion “omnibus” spending bill early Tuesday. This 4,155-page bill is filled with woke policies to advance the Left’s extreme agenda to remake America using your tax dollars.

It is unprecedented for a lame-duck Congress to jam through an omnibus spending bill after the American people voted out the majority party in the House of Representatives. However, Senate Republican leadership has worked with outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for one last liberal spending blowout before the conservative majority takes control of the House on Jan. 3.

The omnibus spending bill is loaded with thousands of earmarks , which are line-item funding for specific pet projects directed by members of Congress. Many of these earmarks would advance the Left’s extreme agenda and fund its institutions using the taxpayer’s money. House Appropriations Chairwoman Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn., bragged that the omnibus “fulfills 98% of Democratic member requests in the House, with $5.4 billion for 3,213 Democratic projects.”

The types of woke-waste line items that some Senate Republicans will helped fund.

Here’s a small example:

$1.2 million for “ LGBTQIA+ Pride Centers ” and another $1.2 million for “ support services for DACA recipients ” (aka helping illegal aliens with taxpayer funds) at San Diego Community College.

$477,000 for the Equity Institute in Rhode Island to indoctrinate teachers with “antiracism virtual labs.”

$1 million for Zora’s House in Ohio, a “coworking and community space” for “women and gender-expansive people of color.”

$3 million for the American LGBTQ+ Museum in New York City.

$3.6 million for a Michelle Obama Trail in Georgia.

$750,000 for “ LGBT and Gender Non-Conforming housing ” in Albany, New York.

$2 million for the “ Great Blacks in Wax ” museum in Baltimore.

$856,000 for an “ LGBT Center ” in New York.

$750,000 for the “ TransLatin@ Coalition ” to provide “workforce development programs and supportive services for Transgender and Gender nonconforming and Intersex (TGI) immigrant women in Los Angeles.”

$2 million for “ MLK Labor ” in Washington, an affiliate of the AFL-CIO that expelled Seattle police officers from union ranks.

$956,000 for “ The Equity Incubator at the Universities at Shady Grove ” in Maryland.

$791,200 for “ equitable energy resilience and EV infrastructure ” in Sonoma, California.

We are also funding building borders in other countries while we have wide open borders her in America where illegal aliens are invading us from Mexico.

We are also spending a ton of money to push transgenderism in Pakistan.

Again, these are just a small sample of what Dems and Republicans are wasting our money on.

These types of woke projects have no place in the federal budget.

House Republicans could have banned the corrupt practice of earmarking. But the GOP agreed to keep the pork money flowing with a 158-52 vote in November.

The earmarks in this omnibus spending bill should be a wake-up call to the dangers of allowing earmarks back into Congress’ appropriations process.

Rather than rubber-stamping these earmarks and the $1.85 trillion omnibus, lawmakers should kick government spending into next year. Then the new Congress can draft responsible bills that reflect the values of all Americans and cut wasteful spending.

This is nothing new. The U.S. government have spent our tax-dollars on ridiculous programs and studies for years -some of which we will list here.

OUTRAGEOUS SPENDING

These examples are from Republican Sen. Tom Coburn’s annual “Wastebook.”

“With no one watching over the vast bureaucracy, the problem is not just what Washington isn’t doing, but what it is doing.” Dr. Coburn said. “Only someone with too much of someone else’s money and not enough accountability for how it was being spent could come up some of these projects.”

“I have learned from these experiences that Washington will never change itself. But even if the politicians won’t stop stupid spending, taxpayers always have the last word.”

Congress actually forced federal agencies to waste billions of dollars for purely parochial, political purposes.

For example, lawmakers attached a rider to a larger bill requiring NASA to build a $350 million launch pad tower, which was mothballed as soon as it was completed because the rockets it was designed to test were scrapped years ago.

Similarly, when USDA attempted to close an unneeded sheep research station costing nearly $2 million every year to operate, politicians in the region stepped in to keep it open.

Examples of wasteful spending

Coast guard party patrols – $100,000

Watching grass grow – $10,000

State department tweets @ terrorists – $3 million

Swedish massages for rabbits – $387,000

Paid vacations for bureaucrats gone wild – $20 million

Mountain lions on a treadmill – $856,000

Synchronized swimming for sea monkeys – $50,000

Pentagon to destroy $16 billion in unused ammunition — $1 billion

Scientists hope monkey gambling unlocks secrets of free will –$171,000

Rich and famous rent out their luxury pads tax free – $10 million

Studying “hangry” spouses stabbing voodoo dolls – $331,000

Promoting U.S. culture around the globe with nose flutists – $90 million

In one instance, the government shelled out $387,000 to provide rabbits with a relaxing daily massage. The critters were treated to a “mechanical device that simulates the long, flowing strokes used in Swedish massages” to study the effect of massages on exercise recovery, according to the report.

Another animal getting a fun extracurricular activity courtesy of the U.S. taxpayers are sea monkeys. The government dropped $50,000 on a project to study the swirl of sea monkeys’ collective movements. The researchers did so by choreographing a synchronized swimming routine for the tiny shrimp.

The government also spent $856,000 to throw mountain lions on a treadmill and $171,000 to watch monkeys gamble. They also spent $331,000 on a study that led to a mind-blowing discovery, that “hungry people get cranky and aggressive.”

So as you can see our government is totally out of control and we are the people paying for all this-UNBELIEVABLE!!!
