In 2008, liberal country hack Tim McGraw supported Barack Obama for president saying he loved Obama. In 2015 McGraw is supporting Sandy Hook Promise, a liberal gun control group that wants to implement Obama’s agenda to take away our 2nd Amendment rights.

We reported that Tim McLib and Billy Currington would be performing at the gun control fundraiser for Sandy Hook Promise. After the major backlash from patriots such as yourselves, Billy Currington announced he was backing out from playing the fundraiser amid fan outrage. Smart move bro.

Flashback from a 2008 People Magazine interview- ‘Tim’s Take On His Life’:

POLITICS “It’s innate in me to be a blue-dog Democrat. I’m not saying I’m right or wrong, but that’s what I am. My wife and I and our family will do everything we can to support Obama. I like his ideas, I like his energy, and I like the statement he would make for our country to the world.”

HIS DAUGHTERS Gracie, 11, is “all me! She looks like me, acts like me. I call her Lucy after Lucille Ball. She’s hilarious.” Maggie, 10, is a nature lover. “She started a Save Kenya club. She’s very into Africa.” Audrey, 6, “sings all the time and looks just like her mom.”

McGraw said in a statement that there is no contradiction between gun ownership and supporting Sandy Hook Promise.

Bro, they are an Obama gun grabbing bunch of libs, just like you.

“Let me be clear regarding the concert for Sandy Hook given much of the erroneous reporting thus far. As a gun owner, I support gun ownership,” he said. “I also believe that with gun ownership comes the responsibility of education and safety — most certainly when it relates to what we value most, our children. I can’t imagine anyone who disagrees with that.”

“The concert is meant to do something good for a community that is recovering,” McGraw said.

Scott Wilson, president of a grassroots gun rights group called Connecticut Citizens Defense League  said in a statement: “In spite of Tim’s claims that he is about protecting children and family, the organization he is supporting would leave families defenseless with their zeal. It’s hard to believe it, but apparently Tim McGraw has gone Hollywood Country.”

Wilson added: “Laws were passed that crippled our rights, and new laws are waiting to be passed that will hurt us even more.”

“Country music is one of the last bastions of entertainment where people express patriotism and aren’t afraid to admit that they are proud gun owning Americans,” Wilson adds.
