A&E’s mega hit show ‘Duck Dynasty’ has been in the spotlight in recent weeks due to the ‘controversial’ remarks made by Phil Robertson on homosexuality, bestiality and Christianity during an interview with the liberal magazine ‘GQ’. Why they did an interview with such a liberal magazine and why he would comment about homosexuality and bestiality is beyond me although my guess would be to get more publicity for the show-or to create a diversion from the rushed passing of the NDAA 2014 which allows the government the ability to indefinitely detain American citizens without trial. Either way that is what happened while everyone was focused on a television show about bearded rednecks that make ‘duck’ calls.

In a vote that ended around 11:40 p.m. Thursday, the chamber voted 84-15 to pass the 2014 national defense authorization act (NDAA), which clears the Pentagon to spend $607 billion, including $527 billion in base funding and $80 billion for America’s global operations. The NDAA included provisions that purported to authorize the president of the United States to deploy the U.S. military to apprehend and indefinitely detain any person (including an American citizen) who he believes “represent[s] an enduring security threat to the United States.” So there you have it-we are screwed.

Don’t get us wrong here, the issue of the rights of individuals to speak freely is extremely important and we here at http://americasff.wpengine.com are all about our constitutional rights and restoring our great country to it’s pre Obama state-but I’m sure you know where we stand on that!

I originally started writing this article this morning to show you what the Robertson’s really are and what they looked like before the show which I found fascinating but I got off track with the NDAA deal. It happens frequently to me but never the less it is what it is.

So here are a few pictures of the duck dudes before the show-they look like the people I grew up with in the small beach town in Southern California!
