Paul Ryan Issues SICK Threat Over Trump’s Muslim Ban: ‘Of Course I Would…’

Sean Brown AMERICA’S FREEDOM FIGHTERS

House Speaker Paul Ryan doesn’t exactly like Donald Trump too much, and it was evident when he took so long to endorse the people’s choice for the GOP nominee. However, after a recent interview Ryan did with the Huffington Post, it’s evident that if he’s elected, Trump isn’t going to have an easy time in office.

According to Talking Points Memo, Ryan was speaking about the prospects of a President Trump when he was asked about the candidate’s proposed temporary ban on Muslim immigration until better vetting procedures were implemented, which is in direct contrast to what the Obama administration is currently doing, and it’s apparent Ryan isn’t too big of a fan of the idea. Apparently, Ryan is already considering the possibility of having to sue Trump if he believes that Trump oversteps his authority as president.

More from TPM:

“I would sue any president that exceeds his or her powers,” Ryan said in a back-and-forth about Trump’s claims that he could implement a Muslim ban or build a Mexican border wall without congressional approval.

Ryan said he wasn’t sure of the “legal question” of whether Trump could institute a Muslim ban on his own as president.

“That’s a legal question that there’s a good debate about,” he said, citing the 1952 Immigration and Nationality Act.

“On the broader question, are we going to exert our Article I powers and reclaim this Article I power no matter who the president is? Absolutely,” Ryan said. He also said he discussed the limits of the executive power with Trump.

Ryan the RINO went on to say that his endorsement doesn’t give the billionaire a “blank check” and that he’s still trying to achieve “real unity” between his own caucus and Trump. But he was also sure to clarify that despite his difference with The Donald, he’s not going to let a Democrat get into office again, so at least he has that.
