Vice President Pence and his wife attended the game in Indianapolis today so they could watch the team retire the jersey of NFL legend Peyton Manning, but his visit was cut short.

Pence, like the President, feels strongly about our National Anthem and respecting the men in women in uniform. So it stands to reason that he wouldn’t tolerate the NFL players’ protests on the field, and he didn’t.

After the players on the 49ers took a knee during the Anthem, Pence and his wife decided they’d had enough, and the promptly left the stadium, according to WBRZ.

Vice President Mike Pence has left the 49ers-Colts game after about a dozen San Francisco players took a knee during the national anthem.

The former Indiana governor flew in so he could watch Peyton Manning’s jersey retirement ceremony on Sunday. But Pence didn’t stick around long.

Pence said on Twitter: “I left today’s Colts game because POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem.”

Vice President Pence took to Twitter to let the country know why he refused to stick around.

Tweeting in support of Pence, President Trump also let the country know his administration isn’t going to support such anti-American displays.

As you can imagine, Pence’s bold move was widely praised by patriotic Americans.

You get the idea.

I know I’m proud of Vice President Pence for standing for his convictions in the face of overwhelming hatred and bigotry from the left. This is what real leadership looks like.
