Professor At This University About To Get FIRED After Wishing ALL Trump Supporters DIE In Hurricane Harvey… BIG Mistake

A sociology professor at the University of Tampa is facing public ridicule and censor after he made some truly vile comments on Twitter.  He tweeted claims that Texans were victims of karma deserving of the effects of Hurricane Harvey because they voted for Donald Trump and supported Republican candidates.

According to Campus Reform, Ken Storey posted from his personal Twitter account on Sunday stating –

“I don’t believe in instant Karma but this kinda feels like it for Texas. Hopefully this will help them realize the GOP doesn’t care about them.”

It was only downhill from there as Storey kept right on digging after another Twitter user pointed out that Storey happened to teach and live in a state that also voted for President Donald Trump in the 2016 Presidential election –

“I guess since we’re a Red state we deserve some bad karma too, right?”

To which Storey quipped back –

“Yep, those who voted for him here deserve it as well.”

Since Storey decided the world could “say hello to his little tweets” while he literally and figuratively wished death upon a portion of the United States facing a natural disaster, both tweets have been deleted.  Monday evening a much more subdued Storey tweeted an apology on his Twitter account.

“I deeply regret a statement I posted yesterday. I never meant to wish ill will upon any group. I hope all affected by Harvey recover quickly.”

Accordingly, the University of Tampa also felt moved to respond given Storey’s affiliation with the university.  University officials issued a statement on Facebook stating –

“The University of Tampa stands in solidarity with the people impacted by Hurricane Harvey, and our thoughts and prayers are with all involved. The comments made by Kenneth Storey were made via his private social media account. They were not made within his capacity as a faculty member, and they don’t represent the University’s views. The University of Tampa condemns these comments and the sentiment behind them.”

Many parents, students and UT alumni are not at all buying Storey’s apology however and they are taking to Facebook to vent their anger.

One Facebook user wrote in response to the University’s disavowal of Storey’s tweets –

“He needs to be fired and forced to apologize. I am a UT alum who now lives in Texas and Galveston is my second home. The devastation down there is worse than Katrina and it doesn’t matter who they voted for. The comments do represent UT because you choose to employ this individual. To say that Houston and all of Texas deserves this devastation is reprehensible and needs to be dealt with with swift and forceful action. Anything less is unacceptable.”

It seems even Storey’s own colleagues are any happier with Storey’s position either. UT professor Hemant Rustogi also took to social media to vent his frustrations at Storey’s despicable comments, stating –

“Ken Storey is an idiot and his views do not represent the views of other faculty members who know how to differentiate between a political stance and a natural disaster. As someone who is taught here for 27 years this is a special place with special people our hearts go out to those affected by the disaster in Houston we send our prayers.”

Storey’s biography page on the UT website has been taken down and it appears he has been relieved of his employment with the university as a result of his atrocious Tweets. For the record, the city of Houston is taking the brunt of the storm with catastrophic flooding and it is overwhelmingly Democratic.

However, given the circumstances, no one seems to care much about skin color or political affiliation or gender or really much of anything that the mainstream media uses to divide us.  They are just people trying to survive with neighbors and friends taking care of neighbors and friends. Americans being American, as it should be.
