JUST IN: Rand Paul STICKS IT To Republicans After Voting NO To Repeal Of Obamacare- Here’s The Reason Why

Republicans Fuming As Rand Paul Votes Against Obamacare Repeal Legislation

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) voted “no” in the vote to repeal Obamacare – he was the only Republican to do so. Many are furious about his vote because they are so adamant that Obamacare be repealed.  I agree.  Obamacare is AWFUL.

However, I find Paul’s logic behind his “no” vote just as compelling.

Sen. Paul is also emphatic about the repeal of Obamacare, but chose to vote “no” after actually reading the bill.

READING the bill!  What a novel concept!

Through the course of that reading, Sen. Paul discovered this repeal came with serious strings attached in the form of the budget attached to the bill.

“I won’t vote for a terrible budget just to repeal Obamacare,” Paul said on the Senate floor.

Sen. Paul took his grievances to the Senate floor on Wednesday to blast members of his own party for pushing forth and moving forward with legislation that adds nearly $10 trillion to the national debt – all in the name of repealing the Affordable Care Act.

Paul slammed the GOP resolution as a “budget that never balances.”

“It never gets to balance. Not in 10 years, not in 100 years, not in 1,000,” Paul said.

The Kentucky senator said:

“Republicans won the White House. Republicans control the Senate. Republicans control the House. And what will the first order of business be for the new Republican majority? To pass a budget that never balances. To pass a budget that will add $9.7 trillion of new debt over 10 years. Is that really what we campaigned on? Is that really what the Republican Party represents? Our first order of business will be a budget that never balances … and they tell us, “Oh, but it’s not a budget.” If you listen, they will say, “No, no, it is a vehicle to repeal Obamacare.” And yet I have the title in front of me. It says a concurrent resolution for the budget of 2017.”

It seems some members of the GOP are up to the same old political games that many Americans are just flat tired of.  Those same games and antics that had much to do with the outcome of the 2016 Presidential election and the reason Donald Trump is the new President-elect.

THIS is the proposed 2017 Republican budget —

This GOP budget proposal says a $9 TRILLION hike in the national debt is “appropriate” over the next upcoming decade.

This is money YOUR children and grandchildren will be responsible for paying back.

According to Bloomberg

“Every Republican that was here voted for a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution that said it should balance in five years, but yet they are putting together a budget that never balances,” he said. Paul added he isn’t swayed by the argument that the numbers don’t matter and are merely a way to fast-track the Obamacare repeal bill.

Indeed, the resolution sees the deficit rising nearly every year before hitting north of $1 trillion in 2026 alone, with the national debt hitting $29 trillion that year.
