JUST IN: Rand Paul Just Dropped A PRESIDENT TRUMP BOMBSHELL- “We Met, And We Are…”

Sassy Liberty AMERICA’S FREEDOM FIGHTERS –

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has revealed the contents of a conversation he had on Monday with President Trump.  He revealed that he told the President he can take executive action to allow organizations to offer more affordable group health insurance plans in an effort to address the significant issues with the nations health care system.  This comes in the wake of Sen. John McCain’s vote tanking the repeal of Obamacare just last week.

It must be noted that Obamacare is so unviable and so unaffordable that more than 8 million Americans chose to pay the fine rather than purchase the insurance.  Paul is a physician and therefore has a unique understanding and belief that to solve the United States’ health care problems, we need innovative solutions.  What we absolutely do not need is tweaks to a model that has long been considered an abject failure in providing affordable, quality health insurance coverage to Americans.

Paul is proposing group associations to allow individuals and businesses to band together in an effort to negotiate with health insurance companies for lower premiums and deductibles functioning much in line with lobbyist groups. Paul is a long time advocate for what is termed Association Health Plans or AHPs. An AHP would allow groups to band together across state lines through their membership according to trade or professional association, thus allowing the group to purchase health insurance at a lower cost. It would also allow for the voluntary pooling of resources.

Paul is one of several conservative Republicans in the Senate who says they cannot and will not vote in favor of the Senate leadership’s proposal to replace Obamacare with the Better Care Reconciliation Act (BCRA), at least not in its current form. According to Paul, along with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) as well as other Conservatives, the BCRA keeps too many of the problematic and much-hated provisions of Obamacare still in place. In essence, it is not a repeal by any stretch.

Paul drafted a letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) that further explains his position at the end of June.  In the letter, Paul states that he wants “the language [in the BCRA to] be changed to allow any individual, including self-employed individuals, to form associations for the purpose of purchasing group health insurance.”

President Trump himself has expressed disgust with the continued delays and perpetual feet dragging concerning the promised repeal and replace of Obamacare, suggesting that if Congress does not get it together soon he will end subsidies for health insurance companies altogether forcing this issue. He has also stated that he will end the Obamacare exemption for Congress.
